Occupation Rebalance

Description
Several of the vanilla starting occupations are strictly worse than what can be made using unemployed, are too expensive for what they offer, or do not offer anything useful. This mod aims to add subtle buffs the the weaker vanilla occupations while keeping them flavorful to the original design. The point cost of occupations were not changed (meaning your existing presets won't change), rather occupations were given extra skills to help bring them in line.

The following changes have been added:

Park Ranger: Herbalist
Security Guard: +1 Nimble, +1 Short Blunt
Carpenter: +1 Strength
Chef: +2 (total 3) Short Blade, +1 Long Blade
Farmer: +1 Fitness, +1 Long Blunt
Fisherman: +1 Spear, +1 Maintenance
Doctor: +1 Tailor, Dexterous
Veteran: +1 Fitness
Nurse: +1 Electrical, +1 Nimble
Fitness Instructor: +1 Nimble
Electrician: organized, +1 Maintenance
Engineer: +1 Metalworking
Metalworker: +1 Short Blunt
Mechanic: Adrenaline Junkie, Speed Demon
Unemployed, Fire Officer, Police Officer, Construction Worker, Burglar, Repairman, Lumberjack, and Burger Flipper all have no changes.

I am currently unsure if mechanic was buffed too much, I will have to keep my eye on it. For -4 cost I felt like it needed something that was not maintenance or offered by other occupations.

Works in multiplayer.

Worse aiming than police officer while costing more points. So you get a -8 for desensitized when you can already take brave.

If you plan to update this mod to version B42, can you release the updated mod as a new mod. Let the B41 version of this mod still exist.

Thanks, build 42 added a whole bunch of occupations and changed exiting ones so I will have to redo this mod anyways when it comes out.

Right now, burger flipper is +2 points while chef is -4. The only difference between the two is 1 cooking, which is absolutely not worth the 6 point difference. I wanted to give a reason to pick chef and figured it would be a fun way to get long blades as no occupation has that bonus. Short blades are also the worst melee weapon so getting more points of it did not feel too crazy.

You're right that maintenance makes more sense for metalworker. My logic at the time was I had already gave 2 other occupations maintenance and didn't want to be giving it to everything as maintenance is one of the best skills in the game. I wanted to give metalworker at least something so there was still a reason to pick it over engineer. Perhaps when build 42 comes out I can make that change.

You have done a fairly good job in balancing the vast majority of Occupation.

It likely is a conflict because I overwrote the base game occupation function when I made the mod. I couldn't figure out a way at the time to have it load in instead of overwriting the file. I don't think there have been any major updates in over a year to the game so try just the mod alone to see if it works for you or not.

not sure if its due to mod conflict but the traits given by the occupations dont work

Do you have any other mods that change traits in any way? If you can confirm it is not an incompatibility issue then I can look into it.

Hi, I found one mistake. when you die and create a new character, some professions become unavailable to choose from. Could you fix this
