Description
Triple Upload late-Holiday Special! Happy Holidays! Do you like cozy convertibles that double as the undertaker that gives rival racers a $60 gift card for Gapplebees? Then the Convartii is for you! This Italian inspired Japanese grand tourer with a twin turbo Inline 6 runs like a bat out of hell, but hyper-miles when the highways calls for it.

DA LOR

90's were the pinnacle of iconic Japanese sport cars. They we're (sometimes) affordable, reliable, and kicked all sorts of butt around the track. Seriously! within the span of ten years, we had the Mk4 Supra, NSX, R32-34, Eclipse, Evo, Mk1-Mk2 MR2, 22b Impreza, Integra, RX-7, GT3000, Preludes, S13-15, 300ZX Fairlady, MK4 Celica, the list goes on and on and on.... With cars like that, it's was probably impossible to stay a brand purist at the time. Although the Fast and Furious movies and ps1 racing games had something to do with their popularity, they we're going to be considered classics no matter what type of popularity they got, actually nevermind, they had a lot to do with their popularity, considering that the Lexus SC is a Supra that is more luxurious, but never had the FtF treatment, so it's absurdly cheap on marketplace... I want one...
Anyways, the Japanese recession and "lost decades" phenomenon unfortunately laid all of these fantastic sports cars to rest, and now we all lament for their return in an affordable package that doesn't suck ass, nor is in the shape of a crossover.
Is it truly possible to feel nostalgic for a time for which you're never born? Is it a form of hysteria or passion that we cherish the years we never lived?

Anyways, about the Convertii. The Convertii was an advanced GT car that was late to the party, with a tail-end that resembles the future, but the face resembles the passion in the 90's, with out of date pop-up headlights. This car wanted to include what was originally deemed "Futuristic" at the time, like a retractable hard top, and adjustable suspension. No active aero though, might add some in a later build. Although it seems like an "if you crash you're dead" sports car, this car actually uses a bunch of advanced safety features at the time, like a reinforced cabin, bump resistant plastic bumpers, soft crumple zones, and advanced rollover protection. Possessing a 0-60 time of around 4 seconds, it's worth to note that the top-end isn't as high as it would seem.
Side note, this car is a god at doing donuts. Just so you know.

=== CREATOR'S NOTES ===

I am especially proud of this one. It's fun, fast, detailed, and crashes good as well. I am happy with the design as well, it took a couple facelifts, but it didn't take to long to find the design I wanted. For those curious, I used the wheel size and wheelbase from a GT3000, which is what this design is directly inspired after. Also, the hardtop is modeled after the geometry of an old Peugeot's, but it's highly modified to collapse with the roof on this car. It was a challenging aspect to create on the car, but it works well, clips and bounces in certain areas, but for the first convertible I made, I'll call that a win. I am proud to finally be up to date for once. I believe this is the best build I've made so far, and I am happy to put this one to rest.

Got any recommendations or critiques? Let me know! Thank you for taking the time to look at this this build! Kind words are never wasted!

Thank you :)

@Zalruis Oh, that's because this a custom car that is purely fictional. This car's wheelbase and dimensions are based off of the Mitsubishi 3000GT's though.

@5thDimensionZ Sure! It's called Studio test, it has one area that is just a lighting test with a blue and red lamp. Bloom helps a lot.
