After seeing the reputation gained by the successful Verona class of Corvettes, LKF command wanted to continue focusing on aggressive Corvette tactics.

Nightshade's armament allows it to contribute to a fleets anti-capital firepower whilst maintaining it's role as a Corvette.

Description

The Nightshade Heavy Corvette is designed to serve a more aggressive role in conflicts opposed to traditional corvettes. Letting it's point defense grid handle smaller vessels, whilst using its six artillery salvo capability to punish large warships from a distance.

It's armament features four gatling turrets, one assault cannon turret, two artillery turrets and two fixed artillery cannons.

It is equipped with a pressurized interior, life support functions, a jump drive and is powered by reactors.
