Q&A

Q: Why 2 Funnels?

A: Ive seen Illustrations of both, but personaly I went with 2 For my Version since the Manassas has 2 Steam Engines as well as that one crude illustration of the Ship burning from a Union letter in May 1862 which shows 2 funnels, one collapsed and the other intact.. This made me conclude the ship likely had 2 funnels.

Q: Why 1 Screw Instead of 2?

A: I legit didn't realize she had 2 Screws instead of one untill after I completed building her, accident on my part my bad, If I ever Fix it I will Upload that Version Seperately under the name CSS Manassas.

Certainly an interesting way to build the cannon in there. Clive Cussler's book The Sea Hunters features a good sketch of the ship. I wish I had known you were at a loss for design information, I would have been more than happy to help. The steamer did not burn the ship but her crew abandoned the ship after it was damaged beyond repair, and thus beached and set afire by the Confederate crew. The partial interior is pretty cool!
