@topsearchdirect yeah there's so little info about modding, and the modding system itself doesn't work fully as designed, was intentionally crippled to "not make the game too easy", and was never finished in fact by the devs, no matter how many very specific bug reports we made/make over the years.
like i wanted to expand what we can teach kids further for example, but some things are hard coded to stop me for no apparent reason.. new conversations they are to have simply don't get loaded or used in-game, even tho the "mod tools" let you write the new conversations.. very frustrating! i wrote a lot of really cute interactions i think people would have enjoyed, but it can't be used.
still, i hope you find immense enjoyment of this game for many hours :)
I’m r trying to get into modding but it’s so hard without any proper tutorial. I’m definitely not a programmer but I’ve been trying.
what doesn't seem to work? like what's happening for u and when?
Wanna play with some TWOM mods code? https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/workshop/filedetails/discussion/2909394122/594011444874354157/
I know I said it in the discussion, but it does really please me to be able to finally offer a very configurable mod; pity it's not possible with Steam Workshop XD
Also you're very welcome :) I think depending on which order u load ur mods, the text will only work on the 1st mod, so maybe it's still usable with strange plants to some extent at least.
I would have to create a new mod on the workshop, also including strange plants. Couple hurdles there XD Maybe if enough people harass me lol
The craft-able item unlocking inventory slots is one of the first mods people made for this game. If you crafted or found a vest, it had pockets. All good I thought at the time..
Sadly during its brief development (TWOM that is), one of the head honchos apparently decided they did not like this modding, because it "made the game too easy an experience", and they purposefully broke/disabled our ability to manipulate that with mods :< Still mildly butthurt about it
By the way, thank you very much for the mod, I'm enjoying it a lot <3
