Penzance-St Ives

Description
THERE IS A NEWER VERSION UP: PAR PENZANCE

This route goes from the most south western railway station in Great Britain, Penzance, to one of the most famous seaside resorts in Great Britain, St Ives. The route starts of in Penzance and runs alongside the sea for about two miles before diverging inland at Marazion where there is a climb for about two miles before a short drop into the station of St.Erth. This is where this leaves the mainline and joins the coastal branch to St Ives. The line runs through a short cutting before running next to the waters edge all the way to Lelant station where there is a 1 in 60 climb nearly all the way to Carbis Bay where it drops away into St Ives. The St Ives branch is one of the most famous in Britain because of its stunning cliffside views leading to attractive scenery. This route has a mainline section of prodominantely 75 mph running and a branch line along the sea.

phillip, The shed that could form the basis of Penzance train shed is in Oxford-Paddington route as WP 23 02. In world editor/ scenery / miscellaneous it is listed as Shed ooc ( presumably Old Oak Common ). It takes 2 in series to cover the correct area and the sides have to be clad with wall lofts, but it gives a proper sloping roof (if not flat arched arched as in the real one ). I have experimented with making the points at St Erth automatic and have got the signals there working correctly ( your scenarios still work ). If you would like , I will have a go at making some station name signs for your route and send them to you, when I return from holiday?
