I didn't want to make the portal surface behind the turret too easy to spot - hence the turret beam to point you in that direction, but I guess maybe it's too hard to find! I've changed it as per the recommendation. Try it out.
I'm struggling to see how you can jump onto the lightbridge without the flip panel?
Also, made a new map yesterday based on those guides. Check it out - hope you enjoy. It's a lot more simple.

Also, its possible to jump onto the "high" lightbridge in the fourth room which allows the player to bypass the lower floor button. If your goal was to force a cube respawn, you'll have to raise the portal surfaces up 1 voxel and move the button to a more accessible position.
I don't remember any "useless" items. I do remember you had an anti-trap in the first room which showed me you had tested your map before uploading and I really respected that! Thanks for making the map. If I can be of assistance, please feel free to reach out to me!
Let it serve as inspiration
My advice: No hard parts in beginning
I feel "useless items" add to the otherwise plain environment, but I guess that's a matter of opinion.
