Description
Forged with the fire of one thousand suns

Overview

I wanted to make this map mainly because I have never made a tropical map before. I hope you like it, I have really grown to love it these past few months. There is a a deep history in this region, as well as glorious weather, which has allowed this area to become a major travel destination.

Map is Vanilla, Theme is highly recommended

There is a 3 minutes video above that will show you a brief snapshot of the map better than I can type it.

Chichen Itza

I have designed the farthest most NW tile in the main 25 to serve as a 'tourist attraction'. If it does not suit your city build, there is no shame in deleting all of it.

El Castillo at Chichen Itza is actually a pyramid, constructed over an older, smaller, pyramid.. constructed over an older, smaller, pyramid

2 million tourists visit annually

Please keep in mind that if something is accidentally deleted, it will not be coming back.

The Region

Optimized for 25 Tile Play
Detailed at the 81 Tile Distance

Train Connections 2/4
Air Connections 3/4
Highway Connections 2/4
Ship Connections 3/4

Trees: I plopped 240,000 You can plop 10,000

Visuals

It would be best if 'Display Road Names' was de-selected from the gameplay options panel

Theme: Laviante 2.0

LUT in screenshots and video is:
Real Neutral - Relight Vibrant

Please, consider using the following mods and settings for visual aids:

Daylight Classic ON

RENDER IT! (Below I will share Render It settings)

Prop Anarchy and Tree Anarchy (If you don't use this, a couple hundred of the trees will not show up)

Hide It! (please hide the shore texture when water ruins the terrain. The game does not do a good job with this and a new level can come out in your map if you paint underneath the water.)

If you have ULOD (Ultimate Level of Detail). I recommend you bump up props and decals. It does not seems to be very taxing on the CPU

Common Ground Mod OR Algernon’s 81 tile (Some Areas I have crafted will not look the same as the way I see them unless the tile is unlocked or you are using the Common Ground Mod)

Things I Want to Tell You

Completely Hand Drawn

Creation Time: May 06, 2022 - Jan 01, 2023

A major THANK YOU to Uncle Ron, Sidai the Slayer, E6GSY, and most importantly Chameleon TBN for being All-Stars in providing much needed feedback and keeping my save file going through Mod Apocalypse

The map is not an exact copy of anywhere in the region

Thank you to all who make this game better than it was yesterday

Thank you for playing on my creations and God bless

Nice map !

No. Its Vanilla. Pillars make a 'ruined texture' on the ground so create an illusion of rows being plowed. If it wasn't vanilla I would just plop farm field assets.

Why is there a field of highway pillars next to an abandoned house? Maybe a missing asset?

Unfortunate, though thank you for the map still!

I don't think CS2 has the capacity for something like this at the moment. I have been checking in.

This is one of my favorite maps ever made. Is there any plans to make a Cities Skylines 2 map similar to this?

Brilliant, thank you! @bringer of fire

Hey is there any way to make the map tropical in temperature instead of temperate?
