Radiant Chiller Taxes

Description

Stressed about founding your first base because of those pesky porks who want to bash you with premature untimely huge taxes ? Well, this mod doesn't kill the taxes mechanics but rather softens it. This way you will be more serene when starting your naked outpost because the amounts asked will now be far closer to your reach.

I made this mod because first, there are not many/enough tax mods on the workshop, and second, the few I tried either remove entirely the taxes mechanics or alter them too much. I just wanted a easier-to-pay taxes to be more confident when I settle on harder playthrough/locations with amounts and delays simplier to deal with.
  • Tax Agents Covered : United Cities & Free Traders.

  • Increased Delay & Time : The cycle between two visits of the same tax agent is increased from 1 week (sometimes less) to 2 weeks (around exactly that).

  • Amount lowered : The amount is now 1000 to 1250 cats (depends the situation) for 2 weeks of peace for both UC and FT instead of 3000 to 4000 cats per week, meaning 4-5th times less. Still remember it can go higher if you provoke your tax agents : Yes, this mod won't spare you bad times if you start to evade taxes or tell the agents to go f**k themselves. The fee can still goes up in cases of misbehaviours and all faction raids are still in place for the worst cases. Few dialogues were altered so the amounts match, but none were removed.

Unlike some other tax mods, this one keep it close to vanilla and does not add a faction relation bonus if you pay well for new factions, because it actually make the relation mechanics too easy by just raising them like that.

You can find all my mods by searching "Radiant" in steam workshop, nexus, or civfanatics, which is a recurrent word in all my mod's tittles.

Even if they represent hundreds of working hours, I'm sharing my mods for free like most of mod creators. But deep down I'm really hoping you to do that little extra thing that would help me a lot : joining any of my pages (patreon, facebook, instagram). Just that really! Don't feel obliged to give something, with Patreon there is indeed a free option that grants you basic news/content and it will only take few seconds of your time. That being said I'm an artist irl and I sometimes struggle to put my personal projects on the saddle. By giving a little something or joining my ranks you can trigger a course of actions/reactions that might end up gathering more people around, thus helping me building the motivation and means to create more stuff to appreciate.

@Uncheat Thanks bro, without your warning It would have been gone, I updated it from the mod exporter and since it was a "shadow mode" for a long time, it kept the "hidden" option. It's back to online

Why did your UI hide from workshop?

I have always started my own settlements when I have had really powerful characters and armor/weapons, killing the tax collector is fun, feeding them to the beak things even better, the only lands where I have not killed any collector were the Holy lands, as prayer day is a good day and way better then taxation. I can see this mod being useful for new players of Kenshi.:beeped:
