Empires come and go, but the Dark Age has stubbornly kept on going. Europe is left in stagnation. Civil disorder, succession crisis, rebellion, war, death, and destruction are all common.

The Great Schism has not happened, as the Pope and Byzantines have so far resolved all their issues. So far. The Chalcedonian Christian branch rules much of Europe, but paganism is still the majority religion in a few areas. Not only that, the Muslims control Southern Iberia, and are invading Ruthenia, much to the dismay of the Pope.

Why is this mod focused on Byzantium?
This is a common misconception, the mod is in no way focused on Byzantium or Rome, they simply have the largest mission tree. There is no specific nation in focus in this mod.

What is the lore for X?
Currently most nations don't have any lore explaining their existence, but you can always check the Discord for lore.

Why does X nation not have vanilla missions?
Vanilla missions that don't fit the lore of the mod have been removed.

All DLC are required. This might get updated later though, as it's not exactly intentional, but I have forgotten which mechanics belong to which DLC. If you lack a DLC and run into a problem, please do report it.

You cannot earn achievements with this mod.

It is recommended that you do not play in ironman, as the mod is very new and might have some problems requiring the assistance of the console. This will of course not be necessary in the future.
