Atomic Beast - Nuclear Heliplane

The Atomic Beast is a massive nuclear powered helicopter plane hybrid designed to make search and rescue missions and vehicle transport as easy as possible. The Atomic Beast is capable of flying itself under normal conditions. All you have to do is put coordinates into the auto pilot. It can even drive itself out of the hangar! It'll tell you how to select a landing option when you reach your destination.



The Atomic Beast flies a lot like a regular vtol. The biggest difference is that you have to remember to disable helicopter mode when you go into plane mode for maximum speed. It also likes to pitch down and lose altitude when you go back into helicopter mode, so be prepared for that.



The Atomic Beast doesn't have typical winch controls. Instead it has one button that activates the platform and it automatically descends until it's hovering over the ground. There's another set of buttons for cargo mode. Cargo mode locks the winch length, so you can lift vehicles without the winch trying to reach the ground. There's 2 ways to use the winch platform for moving vehicles.

The first way:

This method is safer, but doesn't work in the ocean.

1. Activate the winch platform, activate cargo mode, and set the winch length to 100+ meters then lower it near the vehicle you want to move and land

2. Attach the other vehicle to the platform using ropes

3. You should be able to fly the heliplane like normal with the other vehicle attached

4. Go to your destination and detach the other vehicle the same way you attached it. If there's no place to land nearby you can land in the water for this step. The door will automatically close to keep the heliplane from sinking.

The second way:

This method works without landing, but it could damage the heliplane if the other vehicle is too heavy or attached at a bad angle.

1. Use the auto pilot to hover over the other vehicle then drop down on the winch platform

2. Attach the other vehicle and get back on the winch platform

3. Activate cargo mode, reduce the length to the minimum value, and go back up to the heliplane

4. Go back to the pilot control area and use the winch controller there to lower the platform back to 100+ meters

5. You should be able to do everything else just like the first method



The information screen has 6 tabs.

• The white tab automatically switches between the other tabs when they're relevant
  
• The yellow tab shows the landing camera
  
• The red tab shows a map and the estimated time to your destination if the auto pilot is on
  
• The blue tab shows notifications
  
• The green tab shows the reactor's stats
  
• The purple tab shows general information about the vehicle

• The reactor automatically shuts down if none of the power functions are on for 10 seconds. There's a switch you can use to force it to stay on.
  
• There's a hatch on the bottom of the vehicle. You'll have to use it to get in or out if you turn off the main power switch.
  
• The auto pilot is pretty good at avoiding things, but it's not perfect. If you tell it to land somewhere impossible or to fly near a bunch of tall thin objects it'll probably crash.
  
• The pumps that regulate the boiler pressure are connected to a separate automatic power switch to prevent a potential boiler explosion. They turn off automatically when the boiler pressure is low enough.
  
• The cosmetic lights have their own separate battery, so they can't drain the vehicle's power when the reactor is off.
  
• Fission Master (the game in the extra equipment room) will automatically pause if you get out of the seat.
