Description
Spiff's Practical Engineered Solutions, a division of the Weyland-Yutani Corporation, presents the Sprite Hydro Miner, a vanilla small-grid design without mods or DLC, and contains no rotors, hinges, or pistons making it a perfect survival-ready solution for early survival game mining. Designed as a medium-capacity off-world miner, the Sprite Hydro Miner extracts ores effortlessly with its 4 optimally-spaced drills, automatically ejecting waste stone, and transports ore in 1 large and 1 medium cargo container, as well as the cockpit, connector, and 4 drills. Power is supplied via 1 large battery. Designed expressly for early survival, the Sprite Hydro Miner can be built using parts that are refined and built from basic refineries and basic assemblers, respectively.

Finally, for greater flexibility, the PAM auto-miner script is pre-loaded in a programmable block should the ship's auto-mining features be desired.

NOTES FOR BUILDING WITH A PROJECTOR IN SURVIVAL
(See the last picture for the projector's configuration.)
1. Build a rotor frame on a powered grid; remove the large-grid rotor head and replace with a small-grid rotor head and lock rotation.
2. Build a small-grid projector on top of the topmost armor block; for consistency, rename the projector to be "SHM - Projector".
3. Load the blueprint into the projector; click on the setting to retain the blueprint after construction is complete.
4. Build the blueprint.
5. When completed, grind away the small-grid rotor head, leaving the projector in place for future repairs.

It works flawlessly in single-player survival mode. I haven't checked it in multiplayer mode yet.

I'll check it again. Thanks for letting me know. Here's the ion version (it's the original design): https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1880569499

I discovered the same thing with some other blueprints. They must have changed the way the sorters and ejecters work just a little. You should make an ion version of this ship. It does work really well (exept I could not get the sorters to work correctly) :-)

I've been playing multiplayer lately (something I've never done before), and I discovered that ejectors require having both "collect all" and "throw out" enabled for them to work. I *never* had this problem in single-player mode. I need to update all my designs to fix that problem.

To answer your question about sorters, I used to do it that way (i.e., only having a single sorter than ejected waste stone out of a single connector from the container), but I found that having multiple sorter/ejector locations (ideally, two per drill) will dump stone almost as fast as it collected. Yeah, the PCU is greater this way, but much more efficient/effective overall.

I hope all this makes sense.

There are many ways to get it done; I've found this method to be the best.

I Like this sip a LOT. Sorters seem to be having an issue. Drills fill up and will not pick up any more ore. Some sorters are white listed for stone going to the ejecters. Blacklisted stone prevents it from go9ing to the containers. Why not just have sorters on the containers and drain the stone from the containers. Might save a step.

Fixed the four small hydrogen tanks in the rear; they were upside-down... :steamfacepalm:
