Terrene Protectorate ad Astra!



Introducing a Sturdy Protectorate Armour Set (tier 2) precisely handcrafted for Protector Evans, a front-liner member who, albeit not his farther fatherland, fought bravely to defend the Earth - his whereabouts is currently unknown (Must be trying to figure out what else to do at the endgame.)

After many years, a hidden-OP-wannabe Avian explorer, found its blueprints hidden in a chest heavily guarded at a Minikong facility. Of course it wasn't an easy task: for duelling, dodging, sometimes even beating those simians and invading their brain damage-style lab-esque pad-like shelter-manner installation, the price was his own life at stake - prove was an unendless track of blood and wrecked plumes. Weren't for a group of young Peacekeepers and a shy Protectorate girl, he would be dead by now.

What really impressed him was the fact that the girl was able to control the very fabric of the universe, creating imminent breaches no guard could have ever imagined. All she had to do was pointing that shiny golden we-you-ü-ed tool at something, regardless of being it heavy solid walls, impenetrable metal shields, magic barriers(!?): they would take new forms under her command.

It's also worth mentioning that the Protectorate girl was able to somehow capture the material she manipulated. later on reshaping them into brand new structures, as though they were pulled out of thin air - just as a "sudden(ly)" bridge which allowed them to cross the river running rumbustiously around that Apex outpost- an unexpected way to quickly escape from those furious furry hairied harrying beings.

Shortly after his recovery, Billy, the Avian explorer, was then told that the uncanny and out-of-any-world marvel was a Matter Manipulator, and the only way to have one of them in his hands would be being a member of a faction no longer heard at least in the entire galaxy cluster: the Terrene Protectorate.

As a token of appreciation - and a ticket to join the group - he shared with the girl, Alis, the treasure he had found. Her eyes glistened with pleasure, promising him she would contact their still alive leader so that her feathered birdie birdied new friend could be made one of them.

Long story short: our Billy, who became a proud Protector, keeps exploring - as well as "matter-manipulating" - the galaxy, avidly searching for means to restore his now beloved Protectorate to its glorious days.

Wait, I can see a bunch of items, but what exactly is packed here?

A full set - head, chest, legs and a back item - of a tier 2 Protectorate armour. Just as the previous set I released, this one has armour stats and some extra buffs. This time I won't reveal what each piece's intrinsic ability is. Let's just say that it makes life much easier... I hope you enjoy them (as much as I do! :)

Yes, you can re-colour and hopefuly custom-spawn them.

I highly recommend to be used with those invisi-gloves from this mod - not to mention mod per se looks incredible:




So that, like his, ours will be an all-in-one outfit too - which was original idea (but lazy me...)

How do I craft them?

Once you create your first Anvil (tier 1,) their blueprints should be available by default.

• Well, well... I believe this set is working fine. There are yet some adjusts when it comes to "descriptions" and "names" in game which are necessary/desired, but I will leave it at that for now.
  
  
• This is the second pack I ever made on armour/clothes for Starbound. It was fun, but took a lot of time and effort.
  
  
• It's quite likely this mod only works client-sided. Desto, must be manually set for servers.
  
  
• Chances are it should be compatible with modded worlds and other mods.
  
  
• It's been designed for human-like shaped races only, even modded ones which follow same pattern should be compatible - Aegi(an) race, for instance.
  
  
• Also, it's designed on purpose to make males looking tougher and females curvier (matching the outfit theme.)

Evans, who?



Evans that! He's actually a beta-tester Apex toon of mine, and I thought he deserved his own armour set for surviving (sometimes dying too, shame...) many perils I have him going through. Even when I brick my game, once reinstalled, a new Evans has always been made. And he's not the only one. lol

Then maybe someday Alis, Billy (has just got his own) and others might get theirs too...



Whaa..? Is that Evans (right?), but wearing parts of ay... uh, what's it called... Billy (zero creativity für names, eh?) armour?

Known issues

• There's a known glitch on a female pose (leg side of idle.4, I guess) I'll fix that later...
  
  
• When you jump up, some cloak's images might look bugged. It is not. Reason is that the cloak is just too long and doesn't fit the frame (bugs it out,) then I had to draw it shorter on some (reads: a lot of) frames. Same about some of its details whether looking like they're not showing up, they actually do, but it's covered by the toon's body and switching sprites just to make them visible results as a clunky animation (bear in mind this is the first time I make the whole animation of a back item on my own. Supposing that my skills on that improve in the future, I might come back at it and give it re-polishment.)
