FOR VERSION 1.3!

EDITED!
Before the actuators where updated in 1.6(?) to make them less "floaty" this plane had minor issues with clipping actuators in the complex landing gear making the plane go bananas. This was usually easily fixed by a respawn or by operating the landing gear, but after the update to actuators they just freak out every time so I have had to completely rebuild an sinplify the landing gear.

This is my tentative attempt at a Douglas C-47 Skytrain.
It's a bit rough around the edges and definitley an approximation and not a 1:1 replica.

This is the aerial ambulance version with 18 stretchers in the cargo bay. Sadly since Bob is a chunky boy there is not room enough for him to walk between the stretchers (also his arm pokes out through the wall in the top stretchers).

Alt controls to fly.
W/S: Variable throttle.
S: Ground brake.
A/D: Ground steering/Yaw.
Up/Down arrow: Pitch.
Left/Right arrow: Roll.
X/Disable steering: Landing gear.
L/Headlights: Approach light.
B/Beacon: Fire in the left engine.
K/Hazard lights: Fire in the right engine.

This plane has been requested quite a few times but I've hesitated to build it simply because of the difficulty in Brick rigs to make round sloping shapes and still keep the inside of the fuselage resonable clear of intruding bricks, since there's no real point of having a transport plane with no cargo room, and also the very tricky thing to add working doors to those same shapes and still have it look reasonably like a C-47.
This version has the main cargo area, but the rear part of the cargo area is a bit tricky, at least for me, to keep "clean", and I really have no idea how to add working cargo doors with the limited set of scaleable pieces available in the game at the present, so the rear doors are sadly cosmetic. The small front door works but is too small for chunky boy Bob to fit through.
The nose also looks like a patchwork but that's as good as I have the energy and skill to make it and still have at least some space inside for a cockpit.
At least the new smaller actuators allowed me to recreate the folding landing gear rather decently. However the main part of the new small hinge actuator does not render at distances over like 10 metres so they seem to disappear at a distance. It's still there and it still works though it looks a but weird.

Feel free to edit, but if you re-upload publically in any way please acknowledge the original creation and creator.

Have fun!

If you don't get the updated version try to unsub and resub, this forces Steam to DL the file again locally.
