Prussian form signals

Early signals of the KPEV. In the past, the signals were not used to indicate speed, but to secure the route. Therefore, there were up to 3-leaf entry signals that signaled the journeys on different tracks. The uppermost wing was particularly important, as it gave the go-ahead or indicated a halt. Therefore, the advance signal only had the function of announcing this term. From 1910 the signal order changed and new coats of paint were introduced.
There were still no gas cylinders for signal lighting. During the day the kerosene lamps were cranked down and extinguished. They only burned on the mast when it was dark or during the day when the weather was not clear.
