Mineable Megaroids - Carbon Addon

In 1 collection by SirCampalot
Extended Tech Tree Mod.
32 items
Description
Addon for Mineable Megaroids. Spawns additional mineable megaroids containing iron, copper and trace amounts of carbon (and some will contain some diamonds).
Some of the added mineable megaroids will have a different composition and will consist of mostly Carbon and a bit of Iron and Copper. Their main symbol will be C.
Overall these asteroids will have roughly the same value of reources.

All the extra asteroids will spawn in asteroid fields and in the asteroid belt.

It's safe to enable or disable this add-on mod during your current playthrough, but it needs Mineable Megaroids enabled to function properly as this is not a standalone mod.

.

With this mod enabled, Mineable Megaroids will spawn more mineable megaroids containing traces of carbon.
I made this mod originally to complement my Diamond Armor mod, but it can be used by anybody who likes Mineable Megaroids, but wants more carbon containing asteroids to spawn.
This mod doesn't change any asteroids, it just increases the amount that spawn.

This mod spawns in more asteroids from the Mineable Megaroids mod. There is a 50% chance one or several will spawn in any default asteroid field and a larger number will be guaranteed to spawn inside the asteroid belt. Roughly 10% of these will contain some diamonds.

With these add-ons you can tweak the amount of resources you can mine as you can enable and disable them at will during your playthrough.

This add-on requires that Mineable Megaroids version 1.2.0 (released 1 juli 2024) or higher is used, so make sure Mineable Megaroids is up to date.

Version 1.3.0 supports Cosmoteer 0.26.2.
Previous versions of Cosmoteer will no longer work with this mod due to changes in how asteroids are spawned.

Version 1.2.0 is a rebalance that seeks to make asteroids from Mineable Megaroids featuring the C symbol somewhat more common.
These asteroids will also have less iron and copper in them, but overall should retain their total value (or exceed it by a bit).

Yeah, I've had some weird errors myself earlier today. Spend an hour troubleshooting only to find out nothing was broken. No worries and enjoy!

Thanks.. I do.. Which is weird. I reloaded the game after unsubbing and resubbing. It works for all of them.. My apologies. I blame Steam not doing its download.

Minor update 1.1.1 made no gameplay changes. Only thing updated is the version number so it won't complain about that anymore.
SirCampalot  [author] 24 May, 2023 @ 11:11am
Minor update 1.1.0 is a minor balance change. Some (roughly 10%) of the asteroids spawned by this addon will now have somewhat more carbon and less iron and less copper, so the symbol of these asteroids will now sometimes be a C instead of Fe or Cu.
Total amount of asteroids spawned by this addon mod has not been changed and the total value of the newer asteroids will be roughly the same as the ones which have more copper and more iron than carbon.

If someone (for whatever reason) prefers to have the 1.0.0 version of this mod instead of this version, feel free to let me know as I can reupload the old version as a legacy version :)

The megaroid addons don't conflict with each other, you can enable and disable any you like when you want to.
I made them in such a way that the add-ons for Mineable Megaroids can be safely enabled and disabled whenever you want more or less of certain mineable megaroids to appear.

So yes, you can have the carbon add-on and the tritanium add-on active at the same time. I use both these add-ons and both the diamond and tristeel armor mods :)

Just be sure you have Mineable Megaroids enabled as the add-ons won't work without it.

do megaroid addons conflict with eachother? like can i have this for more carbon/diamond laced megaroids for the diamond armor mod and tritanium megaroids for the tritanium armor mod
