Hull 158-Yugano Class Protected Cruiser

The Yugano Class Protected Cruisers were built in an age of turmoil for Seryu ship design. Modern technologies as well as larger, more dependable guns were becoming more and more prevalent and threatening to make the Empress' navy obsolete. The Yugano was eventually decided to be able to carry eight, eight inch guns, huge for the class, in order to future-proof the navy. The design proved illuminated as, later the same year, Dominion and Pydrinck came out with their own eight-inch-armed protected cruisers. Some years later, the Yugano was modernized into the form seen here, and continues to be the venerable workhorse of the Seryu fleet. From simple escort to close-range brawls, there's nothing they can't do. Their success is proven by their numbers, as a staggering 32 were built for the fleet.

Ships of the Yugano class are armed with:
8x Pattern 24 203mm (8") Naval Rifles
7x Type 100 25mm AA cannons
