The mod in question is Half Life 4x AI Textures

I'm a bit confused on how this would cause problems since it is only textures, but turning it back on recreated the issues.
I personally run on a 2060 Super with a Quest 2 using a cable, but I'd think that would be enough? I'm going to chock it up to that mod causing issues.
If it's running at normal speed in flatscreen but chugging on the headset I don't know, there's nothing in these maps that's particularly intensive, it's all just stock Half Life 2 assets.
Assuming this might be my own PC just not able to handle it, but also wondering if you knew about this and maybe a way to fix it? Sort of new to VR.
