these maps are insane honestly, and i feel like this or hypnophobia are my favorites of these, not sure which though

Sounds like that'd do it. I don't recommend using super high res textures in VR games anyway, they're much more intensive than flatscreen games since the game has to render everything around you and not just the stuff you're actually looking at.

I did some messing around and I fixed it on my end. I had another workshop mod enabled which I didn't think would cause a problem, but disabling it made all Grimgrvy maps run perfectly smooth?

The mod in question is Half Life 4x AI Textures

I'm a bit confused on how this would cause problems since it is only textures, but turning it back on recreated the issues.

I personally run on a 2060 Super with a Quest 2 using a cable, but I'd think that would be enough? I'm going to chock it up to that mod causing issues.

That's really weird, because I had no frame drops when playing it. But I'm also running a 3070 and an Index.
If it's running at normal speed in flatscreen but chugging on the headset I don't know, there's nothing in these maps that's particularly intensive, it's all just stock Half Life 2 assets.

This could just be on my end, but I struggle to run this map within my VR headset? when I look at my PC, everything on the monitor is running smooth, but in the actual headset itself, everything runs between 10-20 frames. I had a similar experience with the other map you ported, Paranoia, but it was not as severe.

Assuming this might be my own PC just not able to handle it, but also wondering if you knew about this and maybe a way to fix it? Sort of new to VR.
