Description
Small Town USA

Hello y'all! Tonight, I bring you a map of the city of Sallisaw, Oklahoma. Sallisaw is a small town in eastern OK, just west of Fort Smith, Arkansas. It's the county seat of Sequoyah County, and it has a population of about 8,500. It's near the Arkansas River, which there's a part of on the southwestern corner of the map, as well as some tributaries. Interstate 40 also goes just south of the town itself.

Map Information

Not too special here, it's a mostly vanilla map, although Tree Anarchy is required as there's over 300k trees here. There's decent deposits of oil, ore, and fertile land here, all within the 25 tiles of the base game. Mass Transit is 100% required though, so if you don't have that then this map will not function. There are numerous road connections, 4 plane connections, and 4 rail connections. However, when I made the map the rail wouldn't count as a connection for whatever reason. I'm not sure if this was a glitch or what, but if you're having trouble with the rails, please don't hesitate to let me know about it and I'll try my best to figure whatever the problem is out. For the map theme, I used the Oklahoma Summer theme by SanditeSpartan117. It's listed in the requirements, but in no way is *actually* required, although still highly recommended.

@MrMontana1889 I quite like the idea of a Montana based city on here! I'm also glad the interchanges work well for you! As for the rails, yeah I realized that fix while making my Valley of the Sun map lmao, but I've been busy so I haven't really had the time or energy to really go back in to fix only the rails... I'm not busy 24/7 though so hopefully sometime soon I'll get to fixing it :steamhappy:

I think I know how you can fix the rails. Delete the last several segments. Then bring it forward but bring it down to ground level. Then when you connect to the edge of the map, it should create the connection. That seemed to do it for me.

It turns out I don't need to do a whole lot. With a closer inspection, the service interchanges look pretty good. The only thing I think I'll do is apply some simple lane mathematics.

Great looking map. I'm going to hijack it and give a name of a small town in Montana. There are plenty that would fit. But first, I'm going to tweak it just a little bit so the service intersections will be parclos. I hope you don't mind.

@serrino42 yeah, like it says in the description, for whatever reason while I was making the map it wouldn't count the rail lines as connections. Hopefully soon I'll be able to go in and find a way to fix it since I'm clueless as to why it didn't count as a connection. Happy to hear you got traffic and rail fixed up on your save though! :D

I like the map, spent the first day straightening out the traffic jams. Changed all the T intersections to roundabouts and then made a few offramps to the freeway that a couple of the national roads paralleled. After the roundabouts and offramps, traffic was directed more towards the freeway. As for the rail, waited and waited with no trains, I ended up making short spur lines to the outside world where each of your line came in. It appears that yours didn't connect to the outer world. After that I have trains coming in each route and going every which way, they even visit my stations.
