Atelier

Description
Give a righteously grand production room to your beloved artisans!

Have you ever wanted to make truly “practical” and “functional” workshops with excellent benefits and eye-candy aesthetics? If yes, BOO-YAH! This is exactly what you’re after!

What Atelier does:

1. If there is only a single workbench in a room, the room will be named (for example) “Machining Workshop”, according to the type of workbench you put down.

2. If you make something in this workshop, you can get an additional +1 quality (up to +3) on your weapons, apparels, etc. based on how luxurious and beautiful your workshop is!

3. As a result, you can now receive outstanding benefits from building various workshops around the colony, placing different workbenches individually, and by doing so can not only beautify your colony further and be exceptionally well-organized, but also lend some realism to your crafting experience! Doesn’t make much sense to have a tailoring bench in the same space as the huge, industrial fabrication bench, does it?

In my own experience, I would always place all the workbenches in one large room to maximize efficiency and reduce travel time for my crafty colonists - but with Atelier, making a spaced-out collection of workshops (especially around a central stockpile) is now more than worth a little extra walking! Better quality products, better aesthetics, better survivability for your pawns when they stride out to meet waves of raiders with their glorious power-armor!

Make bank selling the best items on the Rim and keep your settlement looking sweet!

| Q&A |

1.
Q : Where can I check the percentage chances for better quality? How do I edit XML?
A: : You need to get a compiler to edit the assembly. There is a project inside the mod.

2.
Q : Woah! Your mod is awesome! I like you. How can I stay up-to-date?
A : Thank you. You can stay up-to-date and support us by joining our Discord. We are currently working on a very ambitious mod called “Rogue AI: The Story of Siblings”. We are also making many QoL mods and Timuttie's Vanilla Overhaul Collection. By joining our Discord, you can get a firsthand glimpse of the mods we’re creating!

3.
Q : Is it CE-compatible? / Does it harm performance? / Does the load order matter?
A : Should be smooth as butter right out of the box! No need to worry about these.

In the case that you do encounter any issues, feel free to comment below on this page’s handy comment section - or you can come visit our Discord with your problem!

Does not seem to work as intended on 1.6, I guess because it no longer applies the "X Workshop" room, since vanilla changed how the rooms are assigned.
It doesn't break anything, but I've tested using a large gold wall/floor room with 4 legendary gold sculptures and a skill 10 artist, but nothing changed on the resulting item quality

Does this mod have any conflicts with "No Job Authors"?

I come to report a bug I had with this mod, I'm currently running a fairly modded pack made by me and I think it's quite poorly organized, I had a problem with which the items crafted in "ateliers" to which the modifier should be applied spawned when being crafted and at the same time they disappeared at the same time they spawned, I don't know if it's directly due to this mod or to incompatibility with some other, once i remove the mod it work fine

Anyone know of a mod that does this but for speed too? I don't like the idea of bloating my item quality but I do like the idea of a speed buff.

For all wondering if this still works as of 1.5,
I did a little test (40 dusters w/ a skill 8 crafter in a 70 beauty room) and the results were pretty solidly in favor of the mod working.
for some reference:
out of a projected 8.8 good quality dusters (using the wiki for quality distribution at the skill level) my guy made 22 (thats out of 40)
Also made 7 more excellent than projected (2 lmao)

Hope this helps, additionally, I didn't take a gigantic sample size so could just be weird luck (I don't want to do the statistics)
