Description
This mod expands and rebalances the buildings in the City Center, allowing more variety in the very early game as well as opening up choices to certain flatland or coastal spawns.

After a lot of testing I can confidently say that my PC does not crash or experience issues due to this mod. If you still do, please leave a comment explaining what your experience.

Boom's City Center+
New Buildings:
  • Well: Unlocks at Mining, +2 Housing
  • Fishing Dock: Unlocks at Sailing, +1 Production and Housing, +1 Production to Fishing Boats adjacent to any land tile, may only be built in Coastal cities
  • Tavern: Unlocks at Construction, +2 Gold, +1 Food and Gold on domestic trade routes ending in this city, +1 Gold from foreign trade routes that pass through this city
  • Courthouse: Unlocks at Recorded History, +5% Science and Gold to this city and +1 Amenity if a unit is garrisoned, may only be built in conquered cities
Existing Buildings:
  • Granary: Unlocks at Irrigation, +1 Food, grants +1 Food to farmable resources
  • Water Mill: Unlocks at The Wheel, +1 Production, +1 Production on farms adjacent to a river and +1 Gold to farms adjacent to a specialty district
  • Sewer: Unlocks at Sanitation, +2 Housing and +1 Amenity

Compatibility:
Everything should be ok unless it adds a building takes the same space in the City Center model, which will potentially cause clipping. The models themselves have some clipping :/ I could not find a way to avoid this that did not cause other issues.

This mod is compatible with JNR's District Expansion series. His changes will override mine so only the new buildings from this mod will be added unless he did not touch them in his mod.

The well interacts somewhat strangely with Trajan's ability. Before researching Mining, cities get a free Monument. After getting it, they get a free Well. Is this intended behavior? It might be due to Production costs.

Fishing Docks are visually still shown in the build list even if a city is not coastal. Is this unavoidable or could it be fixed?

It's been over a year since the mod was worked on, but would it be possible for the Tavern to be buffed to have a local benefit aside from foreign trade routes passing through? Loyalty if sending any trade route, perhaps?

is it possible for you, to upload a mod that just effects the Granary and Watermill?
Since i have other mods that effect the rest, i can not use this one, i would be very happy however to have adjustments made to grannary and watermill!

i don't have the skills to create a UI for game settings and especially not one for art toggle. i also don't know how to change base game artdefs. i dont think what you want would be possible without some elaborate workaround unless all cities preserve classical/medieval art for the rest of the game. if you really want it to happen i suggest you try to figure it out on your own or ask the creator of the city styles mod since they for sure know more about city center era art and editing artdefs than me.

I haven't found anything similiar but is it possible to make a toggle able mod for city centers where you can choose which era buildings look like ??? Some civs looks so awesome in classical, medieval and renaiscence era but eventually turn into a Modern/Future era which lose all it's charm :( ... I mean in real life many if not MOST of the oldest cities of the world keep their classic archteture till nowadays

mod has been updated to fix fishing dock being unrepairable in newly captured cities

sorry, artdef compatibility is beyond me, I will not be fixing art in conjunction with other mods unless the creator wants to contact me themselves to work something out.
All City Center buildings are based in little stone squares and the Well's is the same as the Monument, I don't really want to change it for that reason. glad you enjoy the mod

regarding adding more buildings, I will not be doing that anytime soon, although if I see a suggestion I really like, I may consider it, feel free to leave suggestions if you wish

bochi if you want to translate the mod I would be happy to add them to this mod. if all you want is a translation I could ask other modders to translate, and upload if they agree

Mod Check:

1. The Fishing Dock model is not visible due to the City Canal Rework Graphic Mod
2. The well's model is bigger than the houses. Can this be minimized?

Do you plan to add more of this City Center Buidlings with models? This mod could be the fix for stagnant City Center buildings.
