Achievement Guide
By Mixxiphoid
This guide lists all achievements and how to obtain them. SPOILERS!
I tried to limit the spoilers as much as possible, but obviously some require spoilers anyway.

All achievements can be earned since you can always restart you story, giving you another chance to get the ones you missed before.

Rank Achievements
Rank is determined by the amount of Exp gained through the sum of your actions in Your Chronicle. When gathered enough Exp, you can Rank up by performing a Sacred Ritual. Ranking up provides a Habit which you can assign to a Routine to receive bonuses, boosts and forms of automation.
Tip: When not performing any actions, just Pray to gain Exp, even if your destiny is full, you still gain Exp for your Rank.

A lot of immediate actions, like Pray, provide exp, but also long term actions like quests and achievements provide Exp multipliers, making it easier to Rank up the further you get in the game.

The achievements concerning Rank aren't hard to get and should unlock automatically while you progress through the game. It will be quite impossible to miss these if you aim to finish the game entirely.

The following factors influence you Rank:
  • Exp gained through actions
  • Upgrade actions
  • Chronicles completed
  • (in-game) Achievements completed
  • Talent (gained through Dark Ritual)
  • Pride completion bonuses
  • Exp multiplier
  • Equipment
  • Secondary equipment
  • Ally (party members) bonuses
  • Sacred Ritual through Routine
  • Class bonus through Chivalry spirit (Warrior)
  • Envy Routine level

Rank 10
Rank 10 should be feasible right after you unlocked Dark Ritual very early in the game in the first area.

Rank 20
Rank 20 is gained somewhere after entering the Forest for the first time.

Rank 30
Rank 30 is likely gained during your training at academy.

Rank 50
Rank 50 is usually gotten before you defeat the Demon King for the first time. Don't worry if you didn't got it, plenty of opportunity ahead. Did you buy the Auto Sacred Ritual from the shop yet?

Rank 100
Rank 100 requires a few reincarnation or some long boring serious grinding. Late game it will be easy to reach Rank 100, so don't sweat it.
Dungeon Boss Achievements
The achievements concerning the dungeon bosses are rewarding (Title and Achievement) for a task that you worked very hard for. Each boss will be challenging for the stage you are at in the game and is often required to defeat before you can advance to the next area. Most areas have a boss dungeon.

To defeat any boss, make sure you have invested some Habit in your Class Routine if you are a Warrior or Sorcerer and apply the corresponding formation when attacking the boss. Invest in the Familiar Greater Demon, or Lesser Demon while the Greater isn't available yet. On top of that, grind your Gluttony to boost your (Magical)Attack and HP.

When you fail to best a boss, analyze the bosses behaviour. A few things to check:
  • What type of attack is it using? Physical or Magical? -> Increase your (Magical)Defence accordingly.
  • What is the attack pattern?
  • Does it take a rest?
  • Does it need to prepare a powerful attack?
  • Which attacks are the strongest/fastest?
  • Does it have weaknesses? e.g. Wind Magic vs Earth type boss.

With this information, plan your party layout. Think of things like:
  • Determine which member is the strongest and place that ally in such a way that it has the highest chance of defeating the boss.
  • Figure out which of your skills could boost the next attack,
  • Could it be worth to sacrifice some of the first party members?
  • Could it help to equip your first party members with a very quick skill to win some time for the last part of the party?
This may seem like a lot of work, but a little bit of preparation could save you days of grinding Gluttony. Spending an hour should usually be more than enough to get the perfect setup to defeat a boss, or to know what you need to work on to get there.
If you need to grind some more levels for your party members, check out my guide on Seeds and Research farming.

Note that it sometimes also just takes a little bit of luck. Try again if you were bested by that one powerful attack planned too early, maybe the boss won't use it the next time or a bit later.

Lord of the Cave
The Orc is the boss of the Village area and is your first real challenge. On defeat you will also earn a Party Slot! Can't get much better than that.

Forest Ranger
The Treant is the boss of the Forest area and shouldn't be a big issue. You either grind Mushrooms or Pork to boost your attack. The earned title is helpful in getting Wood without grinding the dungeon.

The Cleaner
The Purification Slime is the boss of the Academy. He can be quite tough, but luckily, the Academy offers a lot of upgrade actions to complete and loops to grind which should help.

Stronger than Rock
The Rock Golem is the boss of the Coastal City area, is difficult to beat and requires some grinding. The difficulty lies in the defensive strategy the Rock Golem applies. You have to either beat him fast or hold out long enough to hit him when he is weak again. Wind magic will help a lot.

Moon Blessing
The Elder Treant is the boss of the Spirit Spring area. His strength is to debuff your party by drunkeness. Just like the Rock Golem, the same strategy applies, either kill him quick or hold out long enough for the debuff to wear off. Fire magic seemed to help me here, but I don't have proof it is actually a weakness. Some significant Gluttony/Research/Seeds grinding may be needed to beat him. The title it rewards is very useful for the Sorcerer path.

Dragon Slayer
The Scarlet Dragon is the boss of the Ancient Ruins area and is a difficult foe that may put you to a halt for a while. Do not try to fight him with fire, that is useless. Water magic should help, but physical attacks are fine too. Follow the general strategy in the beginning of this section to best him. Grinding the other dungeons in the area may help you get sufficient levels for yourself and your allies.

Desert Guardian
The King Cobra is the boss of the Desert area after you graduate. His strength is debuffing and he consumes your Holy Water through his attack, lessening damage dealt, but it is a costly deal. Do not try to best this boss in your first reincarnation.

Beast King
The Griffon is the boss of the Valley Village. The other monsters in the area are more interesting due to their passive skills so if the Griffon is too hard to beat initially, focus on the other monsters instead and simply reincarnate when it takes too long.

Memory Awakener
The Memory Eater is the boss of the Holy City. It requires some preparation considering his skills gives you a crippling debuf through 'Oblivion'. Make sure you stamine or elemental magic regeneration is up to par before facing him. The area in itself is pretty difficult due to the high requirement of Destiny and Gold. It could take a few reincarnations before you can finish the area, let alone defeat the boss. Take your time on this one.

Requiescat
The Corrupted Great Bird is the boss of the Evil City. If you managed to finish the area, this boss shouldn't be too hard. Handle it like an upgraded regular enemy and you should be fine.

Blessing of the Flame
The Fire Drake is the boss of the Dragon Village. The monsters in this area are very powerful and you require them to even hope to survive one round against the Drake. You'll probably need two or three reincarnations after reaching the Dragon Village before you are able to defeat him. The title he rewards is arguably the best in the game.

I am a genius
The Genius Golem is pretty easy to beat. It will take you a while to progress the story enough to unlock the battle which gives you time to up your stats. When attacking, only physical attacks will harm the Golem! Make sure to use the physical formation and have your stamina regenerate fast enough (add Skeleton Warrior to your party). I used Love Hug which took 75% of his health on a Magic build and Muscular Javelin did a one hit overkill. If you are a Warrior built, you should be able to one hit it pretty easily. The title he rewards is kind of useless, even for a Magic build as in this stage of the game you should have no trouble getting your attributes to such a high level.

Save some for the rest of us
Defeating the Junk Orc is pretty easy. I managed to instant kill him with Wind Step. He has 138 Qi HP and always starts with his 'Meal time' ability. Which summons different foods, which in turn don't attack. If you have trouble doing enough damage, try focussing on completing upgrade actions in the city as plenty of them will increase your (magic) attack significantly.
Story Achievements
Story achievements unlock whenever you finished a part of one of the stories in the game. The stories altogether write the path you took in Your Chronicle.

Tutorial
The first achievement in the game. Defeat your father in training and receive this achievement. You have learned the basics and you are ready for the story that lies ahead.

Little hero
Save the girl from the bullies. If you make the choice to fight the bullies this achievement will unlock after defeating the bullies.

Little girl
This time you saved the girl from the demons! Proceed through Academy on your first playthrough and this should unlock pretty much automatically.

Change the sorrowful future
You have to save the Smith's village from the monsters by making the right order of choices. When you unlock 'Arrived in a cave' be careful with your next choice. Just go and defeat the bandits, don't wait for reinforcements. After that, read the notes and defeat the monster at the new area 'Smith's village'.

Importance of Filial piety
It might take you a few reincarnation before you can defeat Tournament 6 in the Academy. After you did, follow the story line of Iari and become her friend in the Smith's village.

If I hadn't met you that day
Leave Norn behind in the Village when moving on to the Forest area. This will lead to a new story line.

Oath without owner
Can be done in the same story line as the previous achievement. Leave Norn behind and follow the story through the Academy city. After defeating the Rock Golem talk to the Receptionist and unlock 'Go to Guild 2'. Go to the Village and try to 'talk' with Father to get the engagement ring you couldn't get before. Follow the rest of the story and defeat the Demon King to get the second engagement ring.

Successor of the Heroes
A very tough achievement to get. I wrote a separate guide for this achievement.
Event Achievements
Events are milestones you make during your story progression. Some are not directly obtainable because they require a reincarnation or multiple, so be patient. No worries if you accidentally missed one, you can always try again in your next run.

First ally
This achievement is earned in your first hours of gameplay by summoning the Slime. You can't miss this achievement, unless you simply refuse to summon him.

The previous story
This achievement is earned by reading all the books in the library of the Academy. It requires some serious destiny and may not be possible in your first reincarnation. By reading the tooltip text of the upgrade action, you can actually read the story of what happened a few years before your arrival at the Academy.

Determination
This achievement is earned after completing all the actions that derive from the action 'Enter the slums' at the Academy. Prepare to pay quite some gold and hand out bread and other resources that you worked very hard for. This may not be possible in your first run because you simply won't be able to reach certain amounts of resources. Upgrading your allies may help, but is not worth the grind for this achievement alone.

Charity
This achievement is earned after completing all the actions that derive from the Orphanage at the Academy. Just like the previous achievement, it may be difficult to get the right amount of resources needed here but with a bit of grinding and the right party setup you just might get this.

Knight apprentice
This achievement is earned after clearing all the actions in the Knights training area at the Academy. The Knights training area unlocks after beating Tournament 6 and talking to Iari. The actions in the Training are require a lot of Statue of Musle and maximum stamina.

Gluttonous chef
This achievement is earned after learning all the recipes at the Cooking Workshop. The Cooking Workshop is unlocked after defeating Tournament 2 and talking to Nali. All actions and recipes cost quite some gold and some ingredients cannot be obtained in your first reincarnation. Don't worry too much about this achievement, after a two or three reincarnations this achievement will be a breeze.

Daily Study
This achievement is earned after conducting all the research at the Monster's Laboratory. The Monster's Laboratory is unlocked after defeating Tournament 4 and talking to Lofarr. Don't do these upgrades unless your allies are maxed out on summons! It is not worth the sacrifice of research if you can use it for your allies. It also requires a lot of scrap metal which can take quite a while to grind and requires access to the Ancient Ruins, alternatively you can try to grind the Golden Slime later on for Rare Metal drops.

Inevitable friction
This achievement is earned after completing the entire conversation with the Bishop in the Academy. You can talk to the Bishop be choosing 'Steer clear of the slums' instead of 'Go deeper into the Slums'. This requires 666 Goddess Statues (not all at once) so don't do this without the necessary Queue slots and allies/titles (at least Tree Golem) that can generate wood and flowers and preferably creation bonus for carving the statues.
Reincarnation Achievements
Reincarnation can be done after defeating the Demon King and picking an ending, or after giving up your current story/pride challange (after your first Reincarnation). A Reincarnation allows you to start over, but with some of the bonusses you accumilated through your gameplay, like unlocked allies and their levels, making you much more powerful and giving you a head start.

Reincarnations should be used to retell the story you already completed to gain a bonus in destiny, allowing you to explore more in your next story. You also get some nice rubies which you can spend on some very important purchases in the shop (Auto Sacred Ritual, Party Slots, Queue Slots, etc...).

It starts here
This achievement is earned when you choose to reincarnate after you defeated the Demon King for the first time.

Perseverance
This achievement is earned after three reincarnations. It may feel it bit grindy and you may be tempted by exploring the other stories, but go for Willing Revenge at least twice. If you don't replay the stories, the newer ones will become unbearable grindy.

One future
This achievement is earned after five reincarnations. You might be ready to try the third story now, but it may take some effort.

I'm getting the hang of Reincarnation
This achievement is earned after ten reincarnations. Willing Revenge should be done about five times now giving you that much needed completion bonus. You are now ready for the forth story.

Seeker
This achievement is earned after fifty reincarnations. By now you should have completed the first five stories at least ones and probably twenty to thirty Pride challanges.

Time Traveler
This achievement is earned after hundred reincarnations. This achievement is difficult to get because of the sheer amount of time it takes to run through a reincarnation. The fastest way is to stomp out Willing Revenge as fast as possible by skipping all the steps that are not required to Graduate and get you to the Demon King, which you will kill in one at this stage.
Chronicle Achievements
Chronicle Achievements are earned by completing a new ending of the gaming. There are in total 7 endings, each one more difficult than the previous one. Each Chronicle, except for the first, Willing Revenge, has a set of requirements that need to be met. These requirements are a minimum to be met, or you would get stuck in your playthrough. The requirements are not a recommendation on when to start the Chronicle. Although it is tempting to experience the newly available story, it is recommended to stick to the first two chronicles for your first few reincarnations to prevents days or even weeks or months of grinding because you barely met the requirements in your last chronicle playthrough. Unless you like extreme grinding, take the easier path and you might enjoy the game just some more.

It's not over yet?
Gained upon clearing your first playthrough by defeating the Demon King, finishing Willing Revenge.

I've finally met you
Gained upon clearing your first run of the second Chronicle, A Moment of Peace, by defeating the Demon King.

Seal the darkness with holy power
Gained upon clearing your first run of the third Chronicle, Hero of the Holy Sword, by defeating the Demon King with the Holy Sword.

Is this your wish?
Gained upon clearing your first run of the fourth Chronicle, The End of Revenge, by defeating the Demon King with Root Magic.

History turning point
Gained upon clearing your first run of the fifth Chronicle, Each Feeling, by defeating the Demon King through any of the three choices.

The distorted ending
Gained upon clearing your first run of the sixth Chronicle, Thirst for Victory. You'll have to defeat the serious spearman as a requirement to start this. Follow this guide to get the ending.

Encounter
Choose this path and start a new chronicle if you have beaten ending 6 at least once, although 5 times is recommended. During your play through you will have to fight a very strong new boss, ignore that and just graduate when ready. Follow this other guide to fight the monster. https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3504503428

After beating the monster, follow the story in the new location. This will unlock a new action in the Demon Kingdom. Progress the story in the Demon Kingdom and you will encounter the final boss. Three 'creatures' with 763Sx HP each. Kill the second creature and the battle is over. You can continue the grind on Gluttony in the aforementioned guide and add to your Status up up to 70M. Try to pick attacks that are opposite of their attributes (e.g. use Dark Wave and make sure you can attack as often as possible).

After the battle you will notice it has become impossible to generate fate, but you need it to continue. An action unlocked to remove the barrier, once done it will regenerate back in time, so you need to hurry. Do this by using your newly unlocked Common action (you unlocked this in the new location). Make sure to add Tree Golem, rock Bird and the water monster to your party while using this action and generating Fate.

Continue generating Fate to follow the story and you will unlock ending C7!
Special Achievements
Special achievements mark the unlocking of a new feature of the game which will help you significantly in your progress through the story.

Break through the limit
Gained upon unlocking the Dark Ritual feature in the Village area, allowing you get gain Talent, improving your Sacred Ritual majorly.

The first
Gained upon unlocking Gluttony when talking to your self after clearing Willing Revenge for the first time. Gluttony is crucial in boosting your stats and is often your final straw on overcoming difficult battles. It also feeds your Satiety which is used to boost your Dark Ritual and Sin.

Lazy
Gained upon unlocking Sloth shortly after your first reincarnation. Sloth helps you automate Habit assignment and provides Queue slots to automate actions and upgrades. Note that you can only automate actions that you have completed before.

The world is mine
Gained upon unlocking Greed shortly after your first reincarnation. Greed allows you to spend research on various boosts like inspiration, exp and seed gain but also boosts other rewards. Perhaps more importantly, it also boosts your Dark Ritual with each research spend on Greed.

Those are too easy
Gained upon unlocking Pride shortly after finishing Chronicle 4 for the first time. Pride allows you to gain permanent boosts by finishing a Chronicle with a penalty applied, weakening one or more core components of the game like your Habit or Sacred ritual.

I want that
Gained upon unlocking Envy by defeating the Mutant in the Demon Kingdom after completing the fourth ending. Envy allows you to boost your stats or rewards for the duration of the reincarnation. On top of that, you can increase the Envy level permanently, boosting the level up speed for future playthroughs. To level up the Envy levels, you need complaints which are generated by overflowing your maximum Sin.

Now you're rich
Gained in the Magic City after fully going through each school at least once. When in doubt about which schools you have visited, make a save file and add a school to your queue. If you haven't visited it before, it will tell you that you haven't done this before. When you have visited all schools, keep following dialogue untill the fourth school appears. I helped out everyone, but I'm not sure this is required (later dialogue seems to suggest it is). Continue the story until you unlock the new Alchemy Routine and all other unlocks with it, this will also reward the achievement.
Secret Achievements
The secret achievements require spending Sin on resource upgrades and can be divided in two categories, Stench and Anchovy Sandwich.

Stench
The easiest way is to level a bit further until the Evil City. Then unlock and max out the Gravekeeper Ghoul. The regular Ghoul from much earlier should be maxed out by now as well and both together will give you a Stench Max of 60.
The base Stench you get is 10. 10 + 60 is already 70.

Next is to invest Sin on 'Inventory Creation: Cleaner', which should be unlocked by after three reincarnations, this will give another +10.
After that you can upgrade it another 30 levels through 'Inventory - Cleaner+', which gives another 30.
At this point you have reach the maximum Stench you can get through upgrades. The only other way to collect more is by investing in the Sin Inventory expansion 'Stench Max+'.

This gives a total of:
Base: 10
Allies: 40 + 20 = 60
Sin upgrades: 10 + 30 = 40
Total: 110

Having Smelly Satchels will help filling the max Stench because it regenerates, as well as Hell Butterfly and Sludge Slime.

You should take a shower
Will unlock when reaching 50 Stench.

You stink
Will unlock when reaching 100 Stench.

Stand back!
Will unlock when reaching 200 Stench. This requires you to invest 90 Sin in Stench Max+.

Walking Disaster
Will unlock when reaching 500 Stench. This requires you to invest 390 Sin in Stench Max+.

Hermit
Will unlock when reaching 1000 Stench. This requires you to invest 890 Sin in Stench Max+.

Anchovy Sandwich
After 5 reincarnations, 'Inventory Creation: Hunter' should unlock in the Akashic Records and purchasing the upgrade should increase your Anchovy Sandwich Max with 5, each upgrade after that will increase the max with 1, up to 30 times.

This gives a total of:
Base: 10 (After Anchovy related action upgrades in the Coastal City.)
Sin upgrades: 5 + 30 = 35
Total: 45

When you reach the maximum of 100 you can do Farmwork in the village after a reincarnation to save up the Anchovy Sandwiches, helping you out a lot further down the line.

Salty taste for a tired body!
Will unlock when reaching 10 Anchovy Sandwiches.

Anchovy party
Will unlock when reaching 50 Anchovy Sandwiches. This requires you to invest 5 Sin in Anchovy Sandwich Max+.

Anchovy Goodwill Ambassador
Will unlock when reaching 100 Anchovy Sandwiches. This requires you to invest 55 Sin in Anchovy Sandwich Max+.

If you are talking about the 'leave the village alone' and the 'don't play with Norn' portions, the run before my first pride challenge I did that. I found a bunch of adjacent things, but unless one of the requirements was to beat the king Cobra (which I didn't do that run) I didn't find anything else to progress...?
Mixxiphoid  [author] 8 Dec, 2024 @ 11:24am
You'll encounter the Hermit when you have enough destiny to change your regular order of walking through the game, more options will unlock. I don't want to spoil anything. You'll need to be much, much, much stronger than you currently are before you go there.

I'm nowhere near 1ks of levels for greed research. The highest I'm doing per DR is the one for the ruins which I do 35 lvls/DR on. Yes I have THAT much ruins research. Weird I just found the wiki for this game... and it's mentioning someone called the hermit that you should meet before this point? And having a lv196k MC? My MC is 65.6k what is this 'Hermit' they are talking about?
Mixxiphoid  [author] 8 Dec, 2024 @ 10:23am
@James with the Games I used to grind anchovy sandwiches for a bit, helped me out at that stage, but can't remember if it was the same you are in. If you have auto eat slots and can buy/farm ingredients, you might be able to get some good boosts, or change strategy to magic or tamer to try it out.

The bonuses for Greed become quite good, but you will need to unlock the higher bosses to use the rare monster research (be careful with it though, don't do 1000's of levels at once with that).
James with the Games 8 Dec, 2024 @ 10:05am
I'm able to DR and keep eating sure. It's more so a thing of based on how I play (I work full time so this is mainly a thing of before and after work) it'll mean a few more days to reach that benchmark since each DR for me is usually like 8-12 hours. To at least get to a similar point. To get a very marginal bonus. Funny thing is that if the early game wasn't such a bore to stay in, for me it's more efficient to stay in the village continuously doing farmwork for the extra anchovy sandwiches. Effective lv 218 compared to all the other cuisine's 10-15.

If there was a greed that boosted stats that would be more helpful for my play style than gluttony is funny enough. And it's more so due to me having just fat stacks of research piled up for most areas. Question if there's a thing later on that gives bonuses for all the rare monster research I keep accumulating?
Mixxiphoid  [author] 8 Dec, 2024 @ 9:29am
@James with the Games is it possible to dark ritual a lot and keep eating? You should be able to cook up some food for your class easily.
James with the Games 8 Dec, 2024 @ 9:21am
I'm questioning how high your stats need to be to beat Iari. I'm on like reincarnation 11, maxed out my stat+ from sins, have gotten like every one of the 'early' game equips, and am just shy of 1B core PAtk. I've already beaten the King Cobra in a prior run. Maxed out my seeds and research on everyone except the Cobra. Already beaten Don't need Power 1, (couldn't beat 2 yet).

Even with all of this I can only take out like 60-70% of their health using Commander's Assault on Physical Formation, which is currently is currently my strongest attacking move. Of course they one shot me as an fyi. This is on a 'stay out of the slums' run to get the shrines so I get 23 statues of muscle max. Is there something I'm missing? Cause I'd love the assistance!
OBWang 19 Nov, 2024 @ 3:54am
@TFE it depends on what you want to do. At first I reincarnation quickly, but now I reincarnation near monthly.
Mixxiphoid  [author] 19 Nov, 2024 @ 3:35am
@TFE depends what stage you are in. End game reincarnations can be as quick as a few minutes, but early on they can take a few days. Unless you are grinding for the Reincarnation achievements, I would recommend focussing on other goals. It is not hard to reach 100 reincarnations before completing the game naturally.
TFE 19 Nov, 2024 @ 1:14am
How long should i be taking for each reincarnation?
