The HIDO upgrades the Hospital Island (a common drop off point for humanitarian missions) to include a moderately sized pier and basic servicing equipment. This includes well illuminated docking points with basic maintenance and repair tools along with firefighting equipment.

Unlike other Dock Overhaul addons this addon is aimed at making the approach, dock and unload of passenger as the hospital, faster, safer and more reliable. Spend less time putting the ship along side a dark, unlit wooden boardwalk in the dead of night and dock at the illuminated, emergency arrivals pier with expediency knowing your vessel can be moored and serviced on site in the event of collision damage.

This addon is not for a "starter" island, you cannot set this as a spawn point in a new game.

The pier includes mooring points, fluid and electrical relays (not a recharging station) for transferring resources between vessels. The pier can safely moor two large ships or three small boats. Additional lighting for important stairways and the grounds outside the hospital including the helipad were added to improve safety and awareness.

The "port authority building" is decoration and non enter-able however it does posses time activated lights which switch on at sundown and off at sunrise for immersion.

Overall, the project is designed to look "Near-Future" with smooth solid colours and a stylised mix of brutalist and sci-fi.

ACTIVATION
To Enable this addon in your new world, open the addons tab at world creation and find the workshop category, inside it, locate Hospital Island Dock Overhaul and enable it.
