Tip, don't pull up immediately after a ground takeoff, that is if you don't want to explode, along with only go max throttle for takeoff, level off around .75% throttle for cruise.


The "PB" Stands for Patrol Bomber, and the "Y" was the code assigned to the manufacturer, Consolidated Aircraft. The PBY started out as the XPBY-1 was the first prototype version of the Model 28 (Which was what all of the PBY series aircraft were modeled after, stopping at PBY-5A.) for the United States Navy, later on the PBY-1 Was the first Initial production variant. As time passed, other models such as the PBY-2/3/4 and PBY-5A, we finally get to the PBY-6A, which was still in use after World War 2, as operating vehicles such as fire bombers, recon aircraft, and public/private transportation.


The very first thing you want to turn on before operating this aircraft's engines, is the Radiators, which is located on the left panel from the Pilot Seat. Then on the Right panel of the Pilot Seat there are two Engine switches, turn them both on, your engines should be good, figure the rest out on your own.


The PBY-6A has a Radar installed above the cockpit, it can hold around 15 crew members.
