Description
"Why giving the nerds over at R&D free coffee vouchers is a really bad idea: Exhibit 1."

Developed during the interim period between the 4th and 5th Corporate Wars, the ASM-A1 "Archer" was the result of a now-disbanded program within Vector Dynamics to develop anti-ship missiles with increased lethality and devastation. That program yielded many missiles that can be described as "incomprehensible affront to god" but the ASM-A1 take the crown among all of them.

The ASM-A1 "Archer" is a twin-stage prototype anti-ship missile that, when close to its target, will first fire its internal 120mm battlecannon before activating additional boosters and violently impacting the target with 8 small warheads. It might not be effective, but it's flashy and terrifying to see first-hand.

Obviously, the ASM-A1 never saw widespread production, and Vector Dynamics still primarily rely on other manufacturers for our ASM lineup. The remaining ASM-A1s are now being sold as reproduced replicas because even though it's pretty bad at the whole "being an anti-ship missile" thing, the faces of enemy crewmates when they see the ASM-A1 fire its internal cannon are downright priceless.

Specs
  • 8 Small High Explosive Warhead, 1 Internal Battle Cannon loaded with HE rounds
  • 3200 meters seeker range
  • 3200-ish motor range
  • Cost ranging between "Yes" and "You'd be better off throwing gold bricks at the enemy"
  • Pretty heavy. Will probably throw a plane or a ship off-balance.

Due to this vehicle being an outdated antique, you do not need to read our Terms and Conditions, nor do you need to sign our Non-Compete Agreement. In fact, you are welcomed and encouraged by Vector Dynamics to refit and upgrade the Archer to modern standards and release it as your own creation. (But like...why would you do that???)

That being said... Vector Dynamics is still not responsible for any damage, casualty or loss of resources caused by the improper use of our creation.

Vector Dynamics is also not responsible for any war crimes, human right violations, criminal activities or acts of terrorism caused by the use of our product. Vector Dynamic is also not responsible for any world-ending events caused by mentally unstable mercenary/peacekeeper pilots using our product. Remember, If it's out of our hands, it's none of our business anymore!
