Wittman Camper-Copter (Amphibious)

Description
«Fishin’, on the fly!»

+Now with support for the fishing update!+

A water landing version of the Wittman “Campter” otherwise known as the “Camper-Copter Amphibious Edition” purpose built for those who prefer aquatically inclined pursuits. If a mountain shouldn’t stop you, why should any body of water be an obstacle either? Now with this version that’s nothing to worry about.

This vehicle is based on the Sikorsky “Heli-Home” flying RV, specifically the one featured in the cover page of September 1977’s edition of Popular Mechanics.

-Idea submitted by CraddyMcPatty, the inside has been modified with a number of fishing themed additions as per their request.

  • A top speed of 76 Knots.
  • Seating for up to 4 passengers(+1 driver & 2 beds).
  • Modified interior & exterior with a more aquatic theme, and new alternative paint scheme.
  • Flight, for any kind of terrain.
  • Built in heating system and winter weather equipment. Several decorative fishing poles included, and a speargun with ammo.
  • Fondu, The Legendary Singing* Sunfish.

=How to Operate=

Flick the breaker then the starter and clutch and crank up the throttle. You’re good to take flight as soon as the blades spin up after that.

i wish there was an anchor, it wobbles alot when it lands on the sea

Bhahaha! I would put an anchor on it just to see people do that. xD But I'm pretty sure they won't. My 'Perry' machine has grapplers on it for cargo that can be used as anchors (and even if a player doesn't realize they can be used that way they still have plenty of screwup potential) and I haven't gotten any complaints like that yet. I guess anyone that's advanced enough to fly a helicopter in this game is smart enough to know that if they crash it because they left something attached to the ground, it's their own fault.

I'll see about it, I just worry people will drop the anchor, try to take off, and crash it. Then complain it doesn't work.

Just the most fish storage it can handle without being overweight or unbalanced, all the storage being accessible, and maybe some extended fuel capacity if there's anywhere to put it. I'm not sure whether my mistake was all the hoppers I loaded it down with, where I put said hoppers, or the part where I walled off the bathroom and added it to the fuel tank.

It's easy to balance a boat, but helicopters are not so forgiving and I suck with them. =x

Lol yeah, a fishing-specific version is what I was trying to do. I basically gutted the interior and tried to fill it with hoppers. I won't try to do that again. :P

@Nameless, added the feature the moment the update dropped. You can actually carry quite a few fish in your inventory. But I might be able to tinker around and make a fishing specific version. Some amenities might need to be sacrificed for cargo.

So, this is a remarkably stable machine. I like flying it. Now that fishing is actually in the game, I don't suppose you'd consider refitting it to actually go fishing with? :D

I've tried to do it myself, but I kinda suck at it. At least for helicopters. For boats it's easy, you can just add weight almost anywhere and they're very forgiving in terms of balance. But I keep putting too much weight in the wrong places on this thing, so it flips over backwards when I take off. =x
