Description
FOR VERSION 1.3!
My take on the iconic Republic P-47D fighter.

It's an approximation, not a 1:1 replica.

This is the "razorback" version of a ground attack variant equipped with 2 500 lb bombs and a 75 gallon drop tank. It's armed with 8 .50 caliber machine guns. (I use double machine guns to simulate the power of the .50 cal.)

Alt controls to fly.
W/S: Variable throttle.
S: Ground brakes.
A/D: Ground steering/Yaw.
Up/Down arrow: Pitch.
Left/Right arrow: Roll.
X/Disable steering: Landing gear.
K/Hazard lights: Sight light.
Fire action 1/Num 1: Machine guns.
Fire action 2-3/Num 2-3: Bombs.
Fire action 4/Num 4: Drop tank.

Well luckily the machineguns actually do some damage to my planes now in 1.3, and the Mach speed and the infinite vertical climb should be gone after I've updated them, but yeah , let's say this game has yet to fulfil it's full potential, especially when it comes to propeller planes. ;)
And stalling is a surprise feature now that just happens to some plane types at random times when turning - either you stall and all control sufaces lose all power or the plane starts flapping around like a fish on dry land, and the control surfaces lose all power. 😁
Sadly Fluppi doesn't seem that interested in the aerodynamics. To be fair he's got about 25.000 requests for details and features to make this into a super realistic mil-sim from other users, but hopefully he can fix aero some day.

You know theres a problem when a ww2 aircraft can:
-Climb vertically
-Not stall
-Fly with one wing
-Is immune to .50 cal
-Can fly at mach 1
