Hera Arms AR-10-style short barreled rifle from Payday 2

The AR-10 itself is a somewhat short-lived battle rifle designed by Eugene Stoner, who later downscaled it to create the AR-15, variations of which became the American assault rifles of choice for decades. The design itself still pops up occasionally with .308 platforms such as the M110 and SR-25, and the occasional civilian grade rifle. Both the AR-10 and AR-15 style rifles have a plethora of custom parts available, owing to the high modularity of the design.


Out of the newest PD2 DLC weapons, this is probably the only one whose "exclusive set" isn't some cursed monstrosity you'd normally see on a Legendary grade skin, although admittedly it is from a free Christmas update. I fugured since this is an SBR, I might as well do it scopeless. This isn't the first scoped rifle replacement I do without an actual scope, and this won't be my last. Please enjoy my yet another excuse to use the KF2 animations. Speaking of which, this one has two reload animations selected at random (it does not depend on whether your mag is empty or not, and the mag is automatically emptied in L4D series when you start reloading anyway) with the gimmick being that the second reload animation takes the same spot as the unused empty reload. This will lead to interesting things when you have this mod and host your game for friends: if they have a default Hunting Rifle model, they will occasionally see the empty reload anim; this may get different results with custom HR models, not unlike hosting a game with other weapons with multiple animations. So do report every peculiar thing that you experience with this mod... I'll probably have to start updating my older HR mods with this in mind.
