Grumman TBF Avenger Bomber 1.3 by Uncle T

My take on the Grumman TBF Avenger / General Motors TBM Avenger bomber.

It's an approximation and definitely not a 1:1 replica.

It's a relatively early build of mine and it's definitely a bit rough around the edges in places to say the least and some areas are what they are, but it flies and drops bombs and shoots rockets so. :)

This is the bomber/surface attack version and it carries 4 500 lb bombs and 8 HVAR or High Velocity Aircraft Rockets. I redesigned the bombs to look more realistic and to be closer in size to the real thing.

It's a bit nose heavy under 220 kph with 2000 lb of bombs and 8 rockets so be careful on take-off.

Alt controls to fly.
W/S: Variable throttle.
A/D: Ground steering and yaw.
Up/Down arrow: Pitch.
Left/Right arrow: Roll.
X/Disable steering: Landing gear.
Hold X/Invert steering: Bomb bay doors.
Fire action 1/Num 1: Forward machine guns.
Fire action 2/Num 2: Bombs.*
Fire action 3-6/Num 3-6: Rockets in pairs.
Fire action 8/Num8: Deploy landing hook.

NOT ALT.
Auxiliary/Page Up-Page Down: Fold wings.**

Turret uses Alt controls.
Up/Down arrow/Mouse: Aim up/Down.
Left/Right arrow/Mouse: Aim side to side.
Fire action 1/Num 1: Fire.

Rear Machine gun uses Alt controls from bomber's seat just in front of it.
Up/Down arrow/Mouse: Aim up/Down.
Left/Right arrow/Mouse: Aim side to side.
Fire action 1/Num 1: Fire.
Camera 1 for sight.

Camera 2: Bomber's sight.

* Bombs are automatically dropped in 0.5 second intervals.

** The wings didn't actually fold like this but were rotated and then folded back along the fuselage, but sadly using double actuators (one to rotate and one to fold) makes the wings very floppy in the game and is not a viable solution, so this solution will have to do.
