Description

Jupiter - Jupiter is designed for active combat at close range, with small and large objects. The ship is able to operate on satellites and in outer space.

The main battle tactics is aimed fire from the course and automatic fire from the turret weapons with target holding at medium range (up to 1.5 km) and maintaining high angular velocity with periodic change of trajectory.

Operating Tips:
  • disable the use of the conveyor system for reactors so that they do not load extra uranium ingots into themselves;
  • maintain variable trajectory maneuvering during active combat;
  • remember to copy the captured target for turrets;
  • if the turrets don't shoot at the enemy, check if they are enabled or try switching subsystems for aiming (standard / weapon / engine / power system);
  • only use hydrogen generators for power generation when power is scarce;
  • red blinking lights will alert you, that your ship is being held captive by another ship;
  • if program blocks don't work, try recompiling them.

Actually lack of turret welders isn't a big deal, since this ship always stays outside 1,4km range.
Noisy Jet himself had a several takedowns on my Siren - Heavy Strike Frigate , piloted by me.

@Noisy Jet, Ah, then it seems the discrepancy is not one of intended use, but of definitions, the debate of which is likely to be entirely pointless.

Regardless, the ship is spectacularly agile, possesses considerable firepower, and looks good. Well done.

@Tael, in the description, I also indicated that it is better to keep a distance of up to 1.5 km. Read the description. I wrote that the ship is designed for close combat since it does not have long-range weapons in the form of custom missiles. Therefore, this ship is for close combat.

@Noisy Jet, I saw the one, is there a second?

Anyways, I'm not saying it cant be done (a skilled pilot will waltz around their foes and lay waste to fleets in this ship), just that when your first line in the description says it is designed for close range, the pilots of more average skill trying to fly this are going to learn the hard way that it isn't terribly durable and will get torn to bits by turret fire they fail to dodge properly.

A beautiful ship possessed of spectacular speed, agility, and fire power, but its lack of turret-welders and its tendency to lose large chunks when hit seem to make it far better suited for sniping then it is for close-range brawling in the hands of all but the best pilots.
