And to be honest the last couple of days the physics in general and the aerodynamics in particular in the game has been p*ssing me off rather remarkably by being incredibly random, illogical, unpredictable and just a plain pain in the *ss so will porbably take a (short?) break from building any new planes.
Aero in 1.1.3 wasn't good, but at least it was reasonably predictable and had actual lift below 120kph so slow prop planes were viable, and had none of this random "dynamic" BS that just happens when you least expect it and for no apparent reason so you plane just suddenly shifts downwards or upwards and feels like you're balancing it on a knife's edge half the time and adding a 20 kg bomb suddenly makes the plane go off in some direction and rockets imbuing the plane with some magical downforce when fired.
I really don't feel like updating my planes yet again to adapt to a new aerodynamics system, especially if it's as broken as the current one, but hopefully he'll get it at least more right next time. Though TBH I doubt it since he seems to have little interest in aero as a whole.
Rant over, return to you normal occupations.
And have fun with my planes. As they are in 1.3...
I'm not sure when or eve if I'll get the WW1 and the rest of the other bi-planes done since aero in 1.3 does not like them much since they are slow prop planes with top speeds under 200kph, which is basically equal to a brick in the game. My Fokker Triplane e.g. is dead, can't get it to work even a little even after 8-10 hours of testing everything I can think of except strapping thrusters to it and attach a heli engine to make it stay in the air.
