Custom made campaign: Zyria-7

Hey everyone!

To start with, thank all of you for the support, sharing of the missions and giving valuable feedback :steamthumbsup:

Background:
The idea to create this campaign came in, as I expected honestly there would be more campaigns in the base game in a style 1 planet - 1 campaign kinda what the upcoming DLC Lava planet, furthermore the story seemed to be skipping a lot of potential lore of Kwalasha. So I decided to create a more thorough campaign. I also want to give massive thanks to developers for giving us the opportunity to create these maps and unique scenarios.

Nevertheless I made this Zyria campaign - pronounced Zeria not Zajriah
in effort to give you a chance to play more levels and have a nice campaign, to experience.

So far there are 6 missions and I am already working in the couple of next ones, no worries I have not abandoned the project. I have basic scenarios, maps but it takes time to make triggers work and time them correctly and unfortunately I have limited time to create these maps as it includes coming up with ideas, creating maps, triggers, and testing which all are extremely time heavy.

My general idea with the campaign is to be as realistic as possible. I found the basic campaign to be bit too "soft". You did not suffer extreme losses, there were only dozens of bugs at the screen at the time. On Zyria you are fighting on a bug planet after all. Massive losses for federation can influence their next moves, bugs do think strategically, and have extreme number advantage which you will feel in my missions - same as in the movies.

Chapter 1: Introduction to story, sort of a "prequel"

Chapter 3: Bugs have seized the initiative and federation is in retreat. - From this point the missions will have basic voice over and more dialogues in them, so they are delayed

Chapter 4: The bug offensive was defeated and Federation is again on the offensive to retake the capital

My idea is to create this campaign to be 15-20ish mission long, hopefully the announced DLC will soon bring wider variety to the game to allow more mission formats that are not just copy paste on same map so I will aim for the higher number. Furthermore, I am also learning to make the maps better with every scenario.
