I noticed buildings, roads and trees hovering in the air when changing the terrain height, but building them causes no problems (yet)

Unfortunately the way borders and labels displays on map is the least of an issues you have with big maps right now. Good luck changing graphical settings while in game or laying roads and placing building without any major clipping.

I managed to create one and only noticed the borders and labels on the minimap are not displayed correctly. Working on the map itself seems fine

While it is required content for big maps to work, you don't use it to make big maps in the first place. Even more with recent updates I would advice anyone against making new big maps as game behaves really bad and ruin landscape after nearly every action.

It only works on maps that been made with it in the first place.
