Description
RISE AGAIN
Seize your fate with the power of two new classes. The Revenant, master of bone, can twist defeat into victory. When they fall in battle, they strike the enemy with powerful curses. And should they rise again, they return with healing energy to empower their allies. The Oracle, on the other hand, is a proactive healer. They foretell the arrival of restorative energy, and may mark an ally as the “Chosen One,” with all of the benefits and responsibilities that such a title would normally confer.

Each new class can be unlocked by visiting one of the two adventure zones found in Rise Again. Unlocking the Revenant will involve a battle or two, but an early to mid game party should emerge victorious. Conversely, unlocking the Oracle is a more of a Scholarly pursuit.

To unlock the Revenant, head up the narrow river west of Granserf at 5S, 75W.
To unlock the Oracle, search the Becalmed Wasteland south of Ravitus at 90S, 85W.

As with all of my mods, Rise Again can be added to an existing playthrough with no need to start a new game.

Features:
  • Two New Classes
  • New Adventure Zones (early to mid game combat)
  • New Puzzles
  • New Items and Objects
  • New Secret Shop in the ocean south of Ash Port at 162S, 153W

Revenant: master of bone, manipulator of life and death
  • Sliver Totem: Transform bones into stationary sentries that fire bone slivers at enemies.
  • Healing Totem: Transform bones into a stationary totem that heals and revives Deathwalkers.
  • Kiss of Death: Deal Ruin damage and inflict Contagious on a target, making them copy ailments onto adjacent units when they die.
  • Grafting: Increase allies’ defenses and Ruin skill by armoring them in bone.
  • Molting: Pass through creatures in a straight line, curing their ailments and spawning bone dust.
  • Deathwalk Hex: Inflict random ailments on nearby foes when you fall, and cure nearby allies when you are revived.
  • Deathwalk Surge: Deal damage to nearby foes when you fall, and heal nearby allies when you are revived.
  • Risen Strength: Increases Physical and Magic Attack when revived. Also applies to totems on spawn.
  • Risen Protection: Gain Negate when revived. Also applies to totems on spawn.

Oracle: proactive healer and patient support
  • Foretold Healing: Call forth a potent heal and cure effect that arrives after a delay (no channeling).
  • Soothing: Soothe creatures in a small area, increasing incoming HP and MP restoration effects.
  • Prophecy: Create a prophetic scroll that transforms in response to Life magic. The third transformation triggers a massive, party-wide heal.
  • Chosen One: Mark an ally as chosen, increasing their attack (Phys. & Mag.) but making them more likely to be targeted by enemies.
  • Premonition: Warn allies of danger, massively increasing evasion and resistance for a short time.
  • Portents of Power: Begin battle with 0 MP, but gain a small amount of MP every turn.
  • Guidance: Increase the accuracy of adjacent allies at the start of your turn. Also grants immunity to Madness and cures Madness from adjacent allies.
  • Vitality: Increases the duration of Regeneration and Soothing on you by 33%. Additionally, gain +2 Life skill for each of these effects while they are active on you (max +4).
  • Auspicious Auguries: Adds a revive effect to Foretold Healing and Negate to Chosen One.

aileen, look for the tombstone that doesn’t have a duplicate. Then dig with a shovel at its base.

Could you tell me in detail which tombstone is special? I've spent 15 minutes but still haven't found that special tombstone. How do I open the sealing device?

Ruin magic and explosives should work.

Thanks, Trobs. It should be fixed now.

Revenant's Molting doesn't cure the caster. I remember this being an issue with Inquisitor's Pass Palisade but I don't recall what the solution was.

I'm glad to hear it made a lasting impression, IreneFray. I'll admit that most of my mods aren't tested on Ruin Mode, so if you have any feedback about other encounters, please don't hesitate to share.

Having never done this mod before, the battle to unlock the Revenant was absolutely brutal on Ruin difficulty with an early game party that only had 2 members who could use bandages and Scout's First Aid.

*starts a pair of fires without thinking about the consequences 10+ turns into the fight*

4 dead Party members later...

I love how my party of mostly still base class characters pulled out a win by pulling a molotov off a downed party member while a bunch of weakened mobs closed in.

"I'm ending this fight the way it began. With lots of fire."

10/10 encounter. Could have been entirely avoided but ended up being one of my most memorable fights for how dangerous an encounter this with many (entirely optional extra) enemies are without access to revives.

Not saying no to 500ish exp either.

Sweet! Definitely working that Dancer combo, but this is my first time trying your Tetragram classes and I've not quite figured out how to integrate a dedicated element into my current team. That's the beauty of installing the whole Prominence mod pack - tons of options to choose from!

Good question! I cycle among a lot of them, but mixing Summoner, Confessor, Inquisitor, or Oracle with the Warden is always effective. I also combine Elementalist with any of the Tetragram classes. I love the Shadow with the Warrior, for added utility. Dancer fits well with Brawler or Blade, especially with a Sailor or Drifter on the team. And I'm partial to an Outsider/Necromancer combo for a lot of debuffs all over the place.
