History:
Atchison, topeka and Santa Fe 1 railway No. 1010 is a 2-6-2 type steam engine made by the Baldwin engine works in 1901 for Atchison, topeka and Santa Fe 1 railway. It started out as a vauclain mixed together to make something new engine before it was made again into a common engine in the 1910s. It was primarily used for different person making journey trains across the of the south-west United states, including the record breaking 1905 Scott Special on the part between needles, california and Seligman, arizona before it was reassigned to goods for transport support in the 1940s. It was went away in 1955 and was kept by the Santa Fe 1 for several years for process of making safe purposes. [1] In 1979, Santa Fe 1 given to cause No. 1010 to the California State Railroad museum, where the engine is living in, has house in there in Sacramento as of 2022.
