LORE
Full Name: Scrapjacks
Slogan: "Treasure The Rust"
Location: Dallas, Texas, United States
Founders: Terry "Rivets" Toledo, Harold "Slobber" Smith
Founded: 2154
Rivals: Omnicom

Team Scrapjacks was founded in 2154 by two junkyard owners and lifelong friends, Terry "Rivets" Toledo and Harold "Slobber" Smith, when they joined forces to create a web series called Junkgineering. In this series they created various machines and vehicles from what ever scrap metal and salvaged parts they could find in their junkyard. The series gained infamy from its dangerous and legally dubious creations, coarse language and frequent explosions. As they were closing in on five million subscribers in 2157, Omnicom demonetized and censored their episodes on all Omnicom-owned video sharing platforms. This prompted the duo to formulate a plan for revenge.

The two assembled a larger team and started on their most ambitious project yet, their own AG-racer. Two years later the Rattler was complete, made entirely from recycled materials ranging from AG-car components to aircraft hull pieces. Even the canopy was taken from an old theme park ride. The next step in their plan was to humiliate Omnicom on track. They kept coming to AGL events uninvited, getting on the tracks past security and overtaking Omnicom ships, always making sure to do it in front of as many cameras as possible. Most of their races ended with being forcefully removed from the track by rescue droids, but the Scrapjacks would always be gone by the time authorities were alerted. Investigations concluded that the team had managed to acquire a working unit of a wormhole generator that the AGL had used during its 2153-2154 seasons. The Scrapjacks were using it to bypass all security measures by teleporting straight on to the track, as well as teleporting out to escape.

The team's frequent mid-race intrusions and Omnicom taunting earned them a notable fan following. After several more failed attempts at stopping the Scrapjacks, the AGL commission offered them a deal; they would get to race legitimately, if they gave the wormhole generator back to the AGL to be destroyed. The team accepted. To this day it's not clear how they managed to get their hands on a wormhole generator, but some theorize that Omnicom's other rivals - Diavolt, Scorpio and Hyperion - might have something to do with it.
