SCP-014 - The Stone Man

Special conditions of detention: SCP-014 should be kept in Zone ██ on a chair with armrests, preferably in front of a window. Music should be played in the room, if possible, continuously, and the performed works should be created no later than 1937. There must be a surveillance camera in the room.

Description: SCP-014 is a Caucasian male, approximately 30 years old, black hair, brown eyes, slightly rounded face, name, according to documents— is Robert Chetford. In 1915, he was admitted to the Norwich Psychiatric Hospital in Connecticut with a diagnosis of "paranoia". According to the patient, he is condemned to eternal life and slow transformation into stone. In 1937, the hospital was closed, and patients were distributed to various institutions. SCP-014 attracted the attention of the Foundation in 19██, due to the spread of rumors about a completely immobile patient showing no signs of aging. The investigation showed the need to place the facility under the supervision of the Foundation.

By all outward signs, SCP-014 is an ordinary person, except that he does not age and does not show signs of metabolism: does not eat, does not drink, does not sweat, does not show any other vital functions. He breathes only to speak, and, with the exception of eye movements and speech apparatus, apparently completely motionless. Despite the fact that his posture has not changed for decades, bedsores have not appeared on the patient's body, and his muscles have not been atrophied. The patient is capable of normal communication, but does not show interest in the events that have occurred since his placement in the hospital.

Application
Note: To be honest, if I had examined this patient without knowing his history, I would have assumed that he was a perfectly adequate and balanced person, but, unfortunately, paralyzed. I can conclude that we have before us an irrefutable proof of the theory that the mind controls the body. He thinks that he is a stone, and will live forever, and thus tries to match this as much as possible. Anyway. — Dr. █████
