Description


Rylek's Raiders are a band of pirates who recently migrated into Alliance space from parts unknown. They aren't your ordinary pirates, however. Better equipped, better organized, and with more experience than most who plunder trade routes for a living, they do not shy away from confrontation with military vessels and are not to be taken lightly if encountered in the wild.




This mod adds 4 ships and a handful of weapons and components, some of which employ unique mechanics I strongly urge you to read up on before attempting to fly this faction. A quick manual will be provided below.

Additionally, they have access to all weapons and modules from State Yards Surplus, as well as the weapons from Tartiflette's Deadly Armaments mod.

More content is planned post release, but I don't like to make promises about such things.




All raider ships are capable of utilizing a new mechanic called 'heat' which is generated by WEP system modules, and dissipated by heat management modules. The effects of these modules can be quite powerful, and without them, these hulls are rather under-equipped for taking on the militaries of the Alliance or even the OSP.

HOW TO MANAGE YOUR HEAT

Mounted radiators and vents will dissipate heat automatically over time, while WEP system modules will generate heat whenever FLANK SPEED or BATTLESHORT are activated, each ship comes with two main methods for tracking heat levels, the visual state of your radiators, and a gauge located in your system status display.





If your heat reaches 100% capacity, you will start taking damage. There is NO true cap on heat, so if you continue generating it you will have to dissipate ALL of the excess before you stop taking damage.

- Someusername6, for custom scripting related to shell visuals and custom thruster behaviors which saved me a lot of headaches in the process of creating this mod.

- Tartiflette, for providing the VFX many of the particle systems in this mod are based on.

- MesotroniK, for custom audio effects.

- Highscore, and The high commodores, and one rear commodore, of the BPL, for playtesting early versions of this mod and helping me iron out a lot of the wrinkles.

I am sorry that the new Sovereign Incident mode no longer includes the Predator class galleon as the main ship type. However, the rest of your work is amazing and impressive, thank you!

This mod is depricated, I'm reworking the faction entirely in my new mod, Sovereign Incident, which currently has a demo.

I have no intention to maintain this mod.

I'm missing all the ships except the new one, and the railgun on it is broken.
