Description
Issue
Ever had a defensive starbase and the enemy managed to disable it before you could get to it with your own fleet.
Meaning you would have to fight your own defenses at nearly full power?


Solution
Yeah I was tired of that. This mod gives a longer time period (configurable at the start of the game), where the starbase will operate at a lower capacity, or be disabled completely. (Again configurable)

Defense platforms has also been modified to not be destroyed, but same treatment as starbases. Configurable in months.

I love the idea, especially not losing 20+ defensive structures.

The idea with this is that it doesn't instantly become a benefit to whomever took the system, correct? Giving whomever lost it a chance to take it back before the defenses are up to full strength?

So if you defeat a starbase, it and all it's platforms will have 1 of the 2 options happen to them depending on what option the host picked.

There's currently 2 settings:
1) Slowly rebuild (Default): Starbases and Platforms will be reenabled but over the time period slowly regain their fire rate.
2) Disabled period: Starbases and Platforms are unable to regain hull, armor or shield for the period, and will therefore be disabled.

seems like it adds requirement to repair(?) starbse after takimg over the system. Not sure actually, not a certified ethernet telepat...
