The Craft is suspected to act as a rapid response unit capable of combating large ships that violate the Exclusion zones, as well as acting as a command ship for smaller AF aircraft. The Craft is propelled primarily by four rotating pod-mounted jet engines with multiple secondary engines built into the main fuselage. This setup allows the craft to stay airborne even after sustaining heavy damage, including the loss of one of its main engine pods. The Phoenix is equipped with a large payload of laser-guided missiles which are mostly located in a central bomb bay positioned between the forward engine pods. While this arsenal is capable of breaking through the armor of most craft, their guidance system is incapable of properly tracking fast or evasive craft and has been seen to miss even slow-moving targets under certain circumstances. Flak-based CIWS systems have also been shown to be incredibly effective at intercepting the Phoenix's salvos. The Phoenix's main defense mechanism is its evasiveness, which is capable of dodging most APS rounds and sometimes even large missiles. However, the craft also possesses a large amount of frontal armor capable of withstanding direct hits from naval artillery, though the rear and side armor is rather weak in comparison. Due to this large amount of weight the craft is estimated to consume over 3000 materials per minute during flight.
