Grenades? What grenades? You never used grenades? Time to change it! MAKE GRENADES GREAT AGAIN!



This mod creates a gizmo (button) on pawns for every type of grenade in their inventory. When pawn is drafted you can issue him an order to throw grenade without equipping. It works the same way as if it was equipped, but now you don't need to make those 10 clicks to swap weapons.
Grenades should enchance combat, not cripple it.

However, since vanilla doesn't have an option to pick up items into inventory, you need another mod that will allow that (ex. Pick Up And Haul or Combat Extended).

Bugs and suggestions

If you encounter any errors related to this mod or notice bugs, please post about it into bug reports section. If I can't reproduce it - I probably won't be able to fix it, so provide steps how to reproduce bugs.
Also feel free to post any suggestions in comments on how to make this mod better.

Compatibility
Any mod should work fine with this mod.
By default only vanilla grenades and any modded grenades based on vanilla will appear as buttons.

Completely safe to add and remove midgame.

Combat Extended is fully compatible!


  • See if the the error persists if you just have this mod and its requirements active.
  • If not, try adding your other mods until it happens again.
  • Post your error-log using the Log Uploader and command Ctrl+F12
  • For best support, please use the Discord-channel for error-reporting.
  • Do not report errors by making a discussion-thread, I get no notification of that.

@123caboom Should work with anything as it just shows a gizmo for any throwable in the pawns inventory, no need to equip it.

Am i the first one to ask if this works with simple sidearms?
Does the gizmo-trigger then is a onetimer?

Odd behaviour, pawn with melee weapon equipped starts throwing smoke grenades at nearby enemies automatically.
Easily changed by equipping the smoke grenade, turning off fire at will, re-equipping the melee weapon. Smoke grenades will be user controlled only.
Not a bug or anything, just mentioning this for anyone else struggling to figure this out.

The mod description does mention:
It works the same way as if it was equipped, but now you don't need to make those 10 clicks to swap weapons.
But it didnt click with me that effected "fire at will" setting.

Wondering... Would it be possible to do so, that grenade will be thrown only once and then Pawn will switch back to main weapon?

Ok cool. While it is a bit clunky this mod does correctly interact with the grenade tweaks mod {LINK REMOVED}. You have to switch to the grenade in order to change throwing mode but otherwise its quite nice.
