Vector Dynamics ALCV-01 "Rover" Main Battle Tank

Description
"Armored warfare on an individual level."

Vector Dynamics's Land Combat Vehicle Research Department presents the ALCV-01 "Rover", an advanced multi-role Main Battle Tank designed to thrive and dominate an increasingly complex battlefield.

The Single-Person Tank
While most tanks require two or more crews to operate, Vector Dynamics prides itself on its line of single-person operated war machines. The ALCV-01 "Rover" is a tank designed to be operated by a single person. Featuring an ergonomic operating layout and intuitive control scheme(Reference image #7).

A Multi-purpose Arsenal
Modern warfare is complex. What used to be a tank-against-tank battlefield is now jam packed with infantry, light armored vehicles and helicopters. In order to adapt to such a battlefield, the "Rover" features a diverse and well-balanced arsenal, including...
  • A 120mm stabilized, auto-loading smoothbore cannon with 70 rounds of high-explosive/incendiary shells.
  • A 20mm light autocannon loaded with 100 rounds of high-explosive ammo.
  • 8 NNTC "Sardine" Micro-missiles.

Next-Generation Combat Systems
The "Rover" MBT embraces the Information Age, featuring several integrated systems that grants its user an unprecedented control over the battlefield, such as...
  • An AWACs-grade 10 Kilometer search radar system
  • A 3,750 meter turret-mounted track radar
  • An integrated rangefinder-assisted ballistic calculator for the main gun
  • An integrated "Revela" MK4 Radio Jamming System
  • 51 anti-missile chaff launchers for extra protection against ATGMs.

Advanced Low-Emission Drive System
Built with stealth in mind, the "Rover" MBT utilizes an experimental "Madhorse" 72-cylinder smokeless diesel engine. Providing it with a top speed of 114KPH (Though it will become unstable above 95 KPH) and a semi-decent fuel economy. Supporting up to 50 minutes of continuous operation in max stress operation modes. Do note that the engine might need to sit idle and cool down for a while after long operations. Vector Dynamics is not responsible for any combustion incidents due to the driver's recklessness.

High-Survivable Design Philosophy
The "Rover" MBT is built with survivability in mind. Featuring a self-sealing fuel tank system that Doesn't leak fuel when damaged, an easily-accessible and repairable central control system, and a good seperation between you and the 70 rounds of battlecannon shells so you don't end up 70 feet in the air when it catches on fire. Oh, and there's an emergency escape hatch so you, our valued customer, can make it out alive and send the tank back to us for repairs.

Operating Instructions
  • Board the vehicle through ladders on the rear. Navigate to the front of the tank and enter through the front hatch. The hatch will automatically close and the external button will be locked once you sit down. To stop the hatch from auto-opening when you stand up, deactivate the button before sitting down.
  • On your lower left will be a roll of instrument panels. "Engine Start" starts the engine system; "Engage APU" Activates the onboard generator linked to the engine, and "Systems Power" Activates most of the systems. Unless you are using infinite electricity, we recommend keeping the APU on.
  • Directly in front of you, underneath the gunsight screen and above the instrument dial monitor is the touchscreen fire control system. Pressing "Arm" Arms the weapon systems, Pressing "Cycle" will cycle through the Cannon, the Autocannon and the missile.
  • On your right will be controls for the turret. Including horizontal and vertical stabilizers, NVG, turret centering and the radar systems, as well as an option to activate a fixed camera on the front of the vehicle that gives a direct, driver's view.
  • Drive using WASD, control the turret through arrow keys. Our interns spent a lot of time labelling the rest so it should be easy. Just follow the sticky notes and the occasional scribbles.

As always, by purchasing this product, you automatically agrees to our Terms and Conditions, as well as our Non-Compete Agreement.

Here at Vector Dynamics, your satisfaction is our top priority!

Note: The turret might encounter a critical software issue and violently rotate without user input. Although this is extremely rare, it COULD happen. Vector Dynamics offers a free 5-month warranty on all "Rover" MBTs, and offer free repairs for turret-related incidents up to 3 years. HOWEVER...
Vector Dynamics is not responsible for any damage, casualties or loss of resources caused by the use of our product. Vector Dynamics will cover the repair fees on any Vector Dynamics vehicles covered by our warranty program. HOWEVER, Vector Dynamics WILL NOT cover any other costs, such as funeral fees, legal fines directed at the user, veteran compensation programs or potential war reparations.

Vector Dynamics is also not responsible for any war crimes, human right violations, criminal activities or acts of terrorism caused by the use of our product. Remember, If it's out of our hands, it's none of our business anymore!
