Description
Stats and features
Tier Three scout sub
Priced: 30,000 mk
Cargo capacity: 30 Crates
Size: Approximately 70x20m

  • 1 Large hardpoint
    Flak cannon pre-installed
  • 4 Small turret hardpoints
    3 Pulse lasers and 1 chaingun pre-installed
  • 2 Automatic discharge coils
Located on top the fore and aft hulls respectively
  • All three crafting stations
    With linked lockers of course
  • Balanced reactor controller
Button to disable in reactor room if you don't want it
  • Color coded reactor temp display
    On the rear bridge
  • 3 Subsurface electric™️ automatic battery backups
    Charges/discharges automatically to prevent undervolting.
No one sub should have all that power.
  • 2 Alien generators
One integrated into the hybrid reactor that adds ~4000kw and one inside the fore hull acting as a range extender that adds ~2000kw
  • The gravity Drive
Controlled by the alien terminal next to the reactor (requires an alien power cell). The gravity Drive is the crown jewel the entire sub's built around, capable of easily launching the hulking ship at 60kph+. It's power matched only by the danger it poses to maintenance personnel sent all too frequently into it.
  • A shipwide alert system and timer
The remains of an explosive decoupling system, now just a glorified timer and alarm
  • And Dugong style auto doors

In game Description

The Event-Horizon is a top secret coalition testbed built with a spacetime bending gravity Drive capable of slinging the berrilia sized sub a Kilometer per minute. Initially a quiet failure due to it's horribly inefficient powerplant and mechanic mulching drive, desperate times have allowed the limited production run to be pressed into private service.

Notes

My most complex ship to date, I really had to wrestle this one to be damn sure it didn't dip too far into overcomplicated workshop slop. Is obviously and shamelessly inspired by the amazing and underrated 90's film, I hopefully was able to capture the stunning feel and look without devolving onto a brainless recreation.

As is the docking ring on the front of the neck is just cosmetic. The original version of this sub did actually let you blow the neck and escape in the fore hull/lifeboat but due to it not being compatible with Ai it's been split into a seperate sub linked: Here

Bruh I did not, they are now invincible.

It's been a while but if memory serves. Loaders got durability in 1.0 (after this sub was made) so I updated it and made them invincible

Actually maybe they're durability doesn't matter? I don't see them on the status monitor so I'm not sure anymore.

Why are there pulse laser ammo boxes in the farthest bottom left ballast? They break fast lol. (Or is this a design choice that I am too small brain to get)

My server ran a couple missions in it post 1.0 and we thankfully didn’t have any issues so it should be good.

Can you please update to 1.0 ? Not sure if anything broke has i haven't had time to test it in new version

That's what i did, but in the case of bots respawning they stay inside of the shuttle. It should only happens in traitor mod with bots (I noticed it in traitor mod with 11 bots). Even tho it should be extremely rare, most play other mods, and those who play it play only multiplayer.

The only real problem in this zone is the bots going all the way up the ladders to repair the hull, and ending stuck there with torso under the ocean pressure, reducing the ladder end point or lowering the waypoint may fix it

Yeah I couldn't say either without some pretty in depth testing, but the port atop the lifeboat is a bog standard vanilla "auto docking port" blueprint and is set to the main port so it shouldn't be it. If all else fails though I'd recommend just jumping out and entering through the front airlock.

I noticed a bot getting stuck at the top of the right ladder, into the docking port that was broken from an attack. He was halway into the ocean and died.
I also counldn't dock to said dock with a respawn shuttle, here i don't know if it's because of the shuttle or the dock.
