Description
With the athletic skill level reaching a high value within a few days of walking around town or exploring normally, the challenge is trivialized as any ambush or pursuit can be ignored.

The privilege of choosing the duel and disengaging or not is something that should be appreciated more and be a reward for character development.

Experience Changes:
  • While encumbered you will have less XP received by walking carrying bodies, stones and so on. In return, XP received while fighting encumbered is proportionally higher as to encourage risk taking if you want to develop your character faster as it will be more challenging to face enemies with the downsides of being heavy.
  • Athletics experience gain has been reduced by roughly 70%, you will still be able to reach a fairly high and comfortable level, but it will happen gradually over the course of in-game weeks together with character progression rather than the early starting days. As previously stated at the mod introduction this change will bring a set of its own challenges and you should expect a way harder early to mid game transition.

Lastly, inspired by Niska24's "Balanced XP+" mod , the XP skill diff was changed from 25 levels above an opponent to 35 along with the XP malus of 90%. In the words of Niska24:

Hey Mark, glad you enjoy it man. Same here, the slower it is the better for me, specially since it feels like you go so fast from trash to badass.

I'll add another version that takes much longer tomorrow

Im back! My man this is great, it always struck me as unreal that in 10 game days I could outrun or go from starving to jacked, thanks for doing this. Im not too knowledgeable though it would be very interesting if skills just took longer to develop, like 40 percent longer just to appreciate the pain of really developing bit by bit, awesome mod my man!

Do you think it would be possible to reduce the xp you get from getting up from playing dead by 70% as well? As right now, getting beat up and getting up gives so much xp that you can cheese from level 1 to level 70 in a few minutes only. I'm not sure how this could be fixed otherwise, but 70% xp reduction from getting up after being beat up seems like an easy way to mitigate the cheese.

@Mark Hope Hey Mark, thank you for the feedback I appreciate you enjoy the mod and how its meant to impact the game. Let me know if you have any other ideas that would greatly improve Kenshi's game mechanics or immersion :beeped:

As for the writing mistake I took the time to redo the description, could you check it again? It should be better and corrected now!
