Toyota Rumion ('23)

ルミオン（RUMION）は、トヨタ自動車がスズキ・エルティガのトヨタ版として2021年10月から販売している小型MPVである。
2021年10月11日に南アフリカにて発表された。
フロントマスクはベースのエルティガよりも太いグリルで高級感を演出。車名はかつて日本で販売されていた「カローラルミオン」のスペルをそのまま使用している。
「RUMION」は「ROOMY」と「UNIQUE」からの造語。

トヨタとスズキは2019年3月、新たな協業について、具体的な検討に着手することで合意。
これは2017年2月の業務提携に向けた覚書を締結して以降、両社が検討を続けてきた成果で、具体的内容としてスズキがインドで生産する小型車を、トヨタにOEM供給することがある。

この提携に基づいて、トヨタは2019年6月、インドにて「スズキ・バレーノ(Suzuki BALENO)」のOEMモデルである新型ハッチバックの『グランザ(GLANZA)』を、
2020年には「スズキ・ビターラブレッツァ(Suzuki Vitara BREZZA)」のOEMである『アーバンクルーザー(URBAN CRUISER)』を発売した。
そして2021年に「スズキ・エルティガ(Suzuki ERTIGA)」のトヨタへのOEMバージョンとして、このルミオンが南アフリカ市場で発売されている。

1.5リットル直列4気筒ガソリン自然吸気エンジンは、最大出力105hp/6000rpm、最大トルク14.1kgm/4400rpmを引き出す。
トランスミッションは、5速MTまたは4速AT。現地での環境性能は、燃費が16.1km/リットル、CO2排出量が146g/kmと発表されている。

インテリアは、エルティガ(ERTIGA)と同じく3列シートで最大7名が乗車できる。
2列目シートは6対4の分割可倒式で、3列目は折り畳んでフラットなフロアにできる。
荷室容量は550リットル。
全車に「トヨタ・コネクト」を標準装備し、Apple「CarPlay」とグーグルの「Android Auto」を採用する。また車載Wi-Fiがオプションで選択できる。

Rumion is a compact MPV that Toyota Motor Corporation has been selling since October 2021 as the Toyota version of the Suzuki Ertiga.
Announced in South Africa on October 11, 2021.
The front mask has a thicker grill than the base Ertiga, giving it a luxurious feel. The car name uses the spelling of "Corolla Rumion" that was once sold in Japan.
"RUMION" is a coined word from "ROOMY" and "UNIQUE".

In March 2019, Toyota and Suzuki agreed to start concrete discussions on a new collaboration.
This is the result of ongoing discussions between the two companies since the signing of a memorandum of understanding toward a business alliance in February 2017. Specifically, Suzuki will supply compact vehicles produced in India to Toyota on an OEM basis.

Based on this partnership, in June 2019, Toyota launched the new hatchback GLANZA, an OEM model of the Suzuki Baleno, in India.
In 2020, we released the “URBAN CRUISER”, an OEM of the “Suzuki Vitara BREZZA”.
And in 2021, this Rumion will be released in the South African market as an OEM version of the "Suzuki ERTIGA" to Toyota.

The 1.5-liter inline 4-cylinder gasoline naturally aspirated engine produces a maximum output of 105hp/6000rpm and a maximum torque of 14.1kgm/4400rpm.
Transmission is 5-speed MT or 4-speed AT. Local environmental performance was announced as 16.1km/liter in fuel consumption and 146g/km in CO2 emissions.

The interior is the same as the ERTIGA, with 3 rows of seats for up to 7 people.
The second row seats are 6:4 split folding, and the third row can be folded to create a flat floor.
The luggage compartment capacity is 550 liters.
All models are equipped with "Toyota Connect" as standard, and adopt Apple's "CarPlay" and Google's "Android Auto". In-vehicle Wi-Fi is also available as an option.
