Description
CV Core 9 CPU, Class 12, Unlock Level 25 Reforged Eden Only

Primary roles: Combat, production, farming, hangar, storage, utility, solar, upgradeable

The Poseiden-B1 was built for the Anvil community February challenge. The design was inspired by the Crusader Industries Hercules C2 (Star Citizen), but not a replica. The ship was built to be a mid level "all arounder" meaning it would serve as a base style ship and does have a lot of upgrade options.

Also to note, the Poseiden-B1 cannot be translated to work in vanilla as the primary hull blocks used (Structural frame blocks) are only available in Reforged/Project Eden. Spawning in vanilla removes much of the hull and would have to be rebuilt using different blocks which would also change the shape.

Stock Features

The Poseiden comes stock with 4x320K and 2x640K storage bays, 2x320K ammo bays, many cargo boxes, 2x Advanced constructors, 2x small constructors, 43 solar panels, heavy shield, advanced warp drive, full medical bay, 54 grow plot farm(grow plots not included), aft bridge and main bridge, hangar + landing pad, wifi, o2 and dispensers, 12 retractable mini-gun turrets, 8 laser cannons, 4 artillery launchers, many passenger seats, and crew areas.

Upgrade options

The B1 comes with a lot of potential upgrade options. This includes locations to add 8 small, 8 medium, and 2 large shield parts as well as a fusion reactor and 2 additional advanced generators. It also has locations to add 10 additional large thrusters, teleporter, repair bay and console, 54 grow plots(grow lights included), 4 additional weapon launchers, 2 additional constructors/deconstructors and 2 small constructors, offline protection, and many quantum/auxiliary cpu core blocks.


Offense and defense

The hull is made of steel (mix of structural frame blocks and standard blocks), the interior is made with carbon substrate and some cargo extensions. It comes with 8 laser cannons, 4 artillery cannons, 12 retractable minigun turrets, and has a heavy(advanced) shield. The shield can be drastically upgraded adding many different shield parts.

To note, this is a shield dependent ship and should not engage targets if the shield is down or off. It also has two cockpits. One at the front of the ship (1st person), and one more in the center of the ship (3rd person). Each cockpit has 4 or more passenger seats.

Notes: Being made of structural frame blocks, the ship cannot be converted to vanilla. Also, the frame blocks can look off shaded depending on light conditions and was tuned for day light. Also there are many P menu options to control weapons, gravity, radar, and spotlights.

Also, some of the LCD's used in the creation are from LCD Wall V3 by Allessia! Awesome work on those!

I've spend some time thinking how to use this ship in vanilla to play through the recent vanilla main story update, so I came up with the solution below. Anyway, this is amazing ship, jrandall, I love it. Now if only I could figure out where to put 5x5 artillery turrets without making ship looking bad...

Now, look up RE2 model archive file in "Steam\steamapps\workshop\content\383120\3143225812\SharedData\Content\Bundles" folder. Copy "reforgedcontent" and "reforgedcontent.manifest" files over to "Content\Bundles" in the game's folder. That should be all, if I haaven't forgotten anything.

Start up vanilla creative mode and spawn the ship. If the game loads without errors popping up and the ship spawns with all the blocks it needs, it means you've done it all correctly. Obviosuly you need to subscribe to RE2 mod to have its files. I know, the ship is made for RE1, but files from RE2 work just fine.

If you *really* want to use it in vanilla, you can port over structureal ramp blocks from RE2 to vanilla.

You'd need to copy them from RE2 block config to vanilla block config file (Content\Configuration\BlocksConfig.ecf). Look for "# ======== Extra Large Ramp Blocks CV/BA =========" line, you'll see. Once copied to vanilla config, look up Material property and change it to "hull"/"hullarmored"/"hullcombat" deoending on the upgrade tier. You also want to copy crafting tempolates over from RE2 file (Content\Configuration\Templates.ecf), look for the same "# ======== Extra Large Ramp Blocks CV/BA =========" line. I think the component lists didn't require any changes as much as I remember. Might also want to copy the localization bits (Content\Extras\Localization.csv). Look for lines from "SteelRampBlocksS" to "bkiCombatRampBlocks" and copy them over to the vanilla file and paste at the end of it.

NO there is not....i wish. I have tried to convert this CV to vanilla with no success. It was missing practically the whole outer shell and requires a massive rebuild to get this to convert to vanilla. SAD....nice ship. I REALLY REALLY REALLY DOUBT that the creator will make a converted model. oh well still a very amazing CV.

Thank you Donmegawatt, Capt Zoom, rick813, and Spiff. @rick813, the ship was built for Reforged Eden. Reforged Galaxy has a very different CPU setup. I believe it is the same as vanilla. So, it would want only 4 advanced CPU core installed and remove the basic, 1 advanced, and 2 improved CPU cores. It should get the the CPU to 10 million. I hope that helps. @Spiff, The game in RE for CV's really doesn't say anything about solar. There are no other support parts like capacitors. If you had no fuel in the ship, it should still turn on. The solar should reduce fuel costs however you still need the generators running to fly the ship around. If parked with thrusters off, it should be able to keep regular functions running like grow lights and maybe some production. I hope that helps and thanks again all!
