Saber (Character)

Description
The King of Knights from Fate series joins the Fray! Using her moveset from Melty Blood: Type Lumina, she's a combo-heavy character that can finish foes off with a powerful Special!

Moveset Gimmicks:

-Up Tilt: Can hold Jump to buffer the ending lag directly into a Jump.
-Down Aerial: Saber dashes diagonally downward. If it hits an enemy, it transitions into an automatic combo that sends the opponent down.
-Neutral Special: Has 4 Charge Levels. The first three Levels increase range, damage and knockback of the beam (can be reflected). Level 4 unleashes a powerful long-ranged, non-reflectable beam.
-Down Special: Uses her sheath to block an attack or reflect a projectile. If an attack is blocked, Avalon shines, stunning nearby enemies for a brief second.
-Up Special: Dashes diagonally upward, attempting a grab for the duration. If an enemy is grabbed, they're sent downward, while Saber propels up, resetting Up Special's use.

Her attack voice lines are made to be exactly like her appearance in Type Lumina, so I don't plan on reducing those lines' frequency (except on spammable attacks, which case I already reduced the chance of them playing). However, the hurt voices are a different thing, which I do plan on having them only play once, I just have no idea on how to make them play without overlapping during multi-hits.

love this character! would it be possible to lower the frequency of her voice lines at some point?

yeah it was tested on ai so maybe they could get out but thought i should let you know just in case :D

This is definitely a problem. Was this tested against AI? Sometimes it gets combo locked on things you could easily DI out.

Thank you! That was one of this project's goals, actually; to make the transitions as smooth and polished as possible. Plus some eye-candy (like the blade of the sword glowing in all sprites and changing colors during her Up Throw) that makes her feel more in-line with the source material.

Very good mod, one of the handful in the workshop that are so polished that they feel like they could actually be part of a fighting game.
