Actually the meme"PLA cooking squad" in China comes from the transfer system of soldiers that best units are usually selected from different troops to form an Ace company， but supply office not included. So to maintain their best boys, officers in charge usually conceal their best performers in the cooking office, and let them act as instructors of newly-recruits newbies. that's why you should never piss off that guy with a cooking spoon
