Mercedes-Benz 609D "Wanne" German Riot Police Van

The Mercedes Benz 609D was a small truck/van designed in the 1980s in Germany.
The predecessor of the famous "Vario" had many variants and usages, probably the most iconic of it as a Riot Police Van for the Berlin Police, where it gained its reputation in the face of anarchy in the capitol during the first of may riots.
The T2, nicknamed "Wanne" ("Tub") given its large space, was used to transport a Riot Police Group (9 officers) within a "Hundertschaft", including 8 other Wannen and a Command vehicle.
