Sagami Railway Series 8000 Trains

Developed to replace the 6000 Series.
The concept was "a train that will still be viable in the 21st century" and was manufactured by Hitachi, Ltd.

Three years later, the 9000 Series appeared, but since these trains were manufactured by Tokyu Sharyo Manufacturing, they were added to the fleet in parallel.
Semi-cross-seat cars are incorporated in the fifth and eighth cars.

Since its appearance, it has undergone several renewals and is now in its current form. However, with the appearance of the 20000 and 21000 series, many cars were scrapped, and it is not far off that all cars will be scrapped.
